Demonstration of MasterLock Universal, Keyed Alike trailer lock set with 2 types of coupler locks and a ballmount lock
As you can see the kit consists of three separate locks, one for the ball mount that goes in your hitch, this one goes in the trigger or the latch in your coupler, and this fits in the coupler itself. Starting off with the coupler lock, we'll tell you how this works. You unlock it and this groove fits inside where the ball goes, so it can adjust to whatever thickness you have on the coupler. Get it the way you want it, then go ahead and lock it. We'll put this on a few different couplers to show you how this works. We'll start with this 1 7/8 inch coupler, to use this lock it goes on like so, latch it down if you can, slide it forward, and lock it into place. Now we have this very popular coupler and we'll show you the same thing.
Next we'll show you the latch lock, it will go through the trigger section here and here. You unlock it, slide the lock off and you don't need the key anymore. Just slide it through your coupler as far as it can go, give it a gentle pull to make sure it won't come back off. Now it's latched and ready to go. In this configuration here, once you're towing down the road no one can unlock it from your hitch ball. Now we'll show you on this style coupler here. The same thing applies and this one is fully secured on the ball. The last lock of the set is the ball mount receiver lock. Simply just unlock it and it comes apart make sure you have everything as far to the other side as possible. Snap your lock onto place, put the cover on and there you have it. Also you're not limited to two inch receivers, this lock will also work for a 1 1/4 inch receiver. Notice it has a sleeve that comes off, and this is the right size for a 1 1/4 inch receiver. To recap, this kit includes the universal coupler lock, the adjustable latch lock, and the lock for the ball mount. It also comes with a handy carrying bag to keep everything in one place for storage. Also if you notice there are three sets of keys and they're all key alike so one key will fit all locks.
