Video Demonstration on How to Use the Everthere Aluminum Cargo Carrier
See how this super light aluminum cargo carrier is easy to use and store! What sets this carrier apart from the others is that is constructed completely of aluminum making it one of the lightest carriers we offer but still rated for up to 400 lbs of cargo. It also quickly folds up making it a cinch to handle and store in your garage or vehicle. This is a great carrier for Moms needing extra room to haul sports equipment or shopping bags and for gardners hauling plants and materials and for home improvement folks...you can see this list is endless!
To cover a couple basic things about this cargo carrier, it is pretty nice in the fact that it is all made out of aluminum. It is light weight and when it is folded up into the position it is in now, it has easy carrying handles ran through the center here. So you just take it and pick it up. Since it is not flat like a normal cargo carrier is, it is easy for one person to install. It attaches to the hitch with a pin and clip sold separately. To unfold it, you just simply hold the two ends together, push that button, then allow one side to go down then the other and that pin locks back down into place. With the two outsides you repeat the process. Within seconds it is fully open. Now we will show you how to convert this for a 1-1/4 inch receiver hitch. To start our process what we need to do is take off the old bar first.
That necessitates taking off these four bolts, there are some block nut bolts on the bottom which we will undo those, then we can uncrank the bolts from the top. Like I said before, there are these four lock nuts that have to come off and they just double nut the bolt into place. Now we can take off these four bolts on the top. Once you have the shank uninstalled, we are going to slide the new one underneath of it. We put our new bracket in which replaces the old one and put our new bolt in which goes directly in the center. Just thread it in place and hold it. Now we go to the other side. Now we tighten them up. There you have it for part number ETC X12 114. Now we will give you some of the specs of this unit, it is 54 inches wide by 24 inches deep and the rails are four inches tall in the center. In its folded size, it is 11X24X19. The whole carrier weighs 29 pounds and its maximum weight capacity is 400 pounds. This cargo carrier can lend itself to a variety of different uses. You can use it for gardening supplies, groceries, gas cans, small lawn mowers, and pretty much there is no limit to what you can put on there and tie down.
