Erickson Ratchet Cargo Control Bar Review

This is a quick video to show you how easy this ratcheting cargo bar by Erickson is to install and use. Joe will demonstrate how everyone who owns a pickup should have one of these as it is so easy to keep items contained in the bed. No more groceries rolling all over on the drive home! Even those people without a truck may want to use the bar in the trunk of their car or cargo area in the mini van or SUV.

Today we are going to show you part number 08908. This is a ratcheting cargo bar by Erickson Manufacturing. Basically this is a load stop that holds your cargo in place and fits between the bed wells. Put your items in there, close your tailgate and you are ready to go. We will show you how to operate it.

It is pretty easy. Extend it to what ever position you need to get it most of the way across. Take the ratchet here, I should say the latch, pull it out, step on the bottom and go ahead and pull out what you need. Once you get the bar adjusted to the length you need just slip it in place. Take the ratchet and ratchet out the rest of it until it stops. Once it stops go ahead and put the latch down and see if it is secure. To undo it simply pull the latch all the way forward and pull it out. As you can see this can be a necessary component for a pick up truck.
