Bully Truck Bed Step
We're going to install this and the first step is to install the long bolt and its plate and put that into the beds cross member. Next we need to install this top slider bar which will go in like so and this jack bolt has to go in flat against this body panel here for some extra stability. This part is going to get sandwiched by the triangular bracket as such like this. With that we can take the nut and bolt and put it on right here. We're going to leave this all loose now since we have the bottom part to be installed next. This will slide up into this side of the triangle bracket and a bolt will go through it to tighten it down. Here's a quick test fit to mock it up, you can tell it's right underneath the fender panel here and it should be a good deal. It seems to fit well so we'll leave it where it is.
It's pretty tricky here, we're going to have to leave ourselves some room here to fit the nut and washer on. Now we can tighten this down, finger tight first. Now we'll take our wrench to it. We have it positioned the way we want it so we'll go ahead and torque it up. Now we'll tighten up our jack bolt here. To operate this step all we have to do is pull on this latch a little bit and move it to the side. It locks back into place and it's out of the way. There you have it for the install, we'll lower it and give it a try out in a moment. There you have it for part # AS-550, the truck bed step from Bully truck accessories.
