Brophy 2 inch to 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch adapter demonstration
What this part number does is converts your 2 inch receiver hitch down to a 1 1/4 inch receiver for 1 1/4 inch accessories or ballmounts. This part is rated for 300 pounds tongue weight and a maximum trailer weight of 3,000 pounds. Also this part does come with the additional pin and clip for your class I or II applications. Lets install it on our two inch receiver here to show you how it works. Now your two inch receiver is ready for your 1 1/4 inch accessories. One good use for this item is if you have a previous vehicle with a 1 1/4 inch and bought the bike rack amongst other things, with your new vehicle you can save the old accessories with this product. Also this would convert to cargo carriers or sometimes even ballmounts. That covers it for part # HT02.
