Today we are going to show you part number RA-15 from Rackem. What we have here is a shovel rack for enclosed trailers. We will now go ahead and show you how it works. You will take the top part and hang it on the wall by the top hooks. As it hangs from the top it makes it a lot easier to drill it into the wall. It also has 3 mounting holes to mount it to the side of the wall. You can fit as many as you can. You could even fill the rack up if you had too. Today we are going to show you part number 59143 from Erikson manufacturing. What we have is a 2X8 strap. That fits in to virtually any E-track system. This part is actually rated for 4,000 pounds maximum use. It is pretty simple to use it. All you have to do is pull the little latch back and put it into the E-track and let it go. It pops right into place and is ready to tie off any object. What is nice about this is you actually get a little flexibility in mounting. Like if you strap is short it gives you a few extra inches. If you have something close to the wall you do not have the metal hitting on it you have the strap touching it instead and there you have it for part number 59143 from Erikson Manufacturing. The 4,000 pound 8 inch strap. ... more

Today we are going to show you how to install part number E19148 from Erikson. What we have here is E-track. This is the 5 foot long model, it is 1/8 inch thick. The mounting holes are 1/4 inch in diameter. This assembly has a rating of 6,000 pounds. One thing you want to do when mounting the E-track is look for the wall studs on the trailer. In this case we are doing it on a wall but the same thing applies even if you are mounting it on the floor of a trailer. What you want to do is look for the studs in the wall. A dead giveaway is of course these screws that hold paneling in place. Across from here to here is the wall stud itself. It is basically a big channel with a couple flat spots on top. It is what the plywood itself is attached too.... more

Today we are going to show you part number 1980A it is a Genuine Bearing Buddy trailer wheel bearing protector. The part number actually stands for 1.98 inches. It is shown here because it is the most popular bearing cover size for all 3,500 pound axles. It also works with most 2,000 pound axles and hubs that are out there. What these do is replace the regular dust cap that is on your hub. That gets taken off and everything stays the same on the inside. You do want to pack just a little bit of grease in these. Then what happens is it gets installed and hammered into place. Do make sure you put a wooden block between this and the hammer. You will also see there is a Zerk fitting on this. Once you have the bearing protector installed you fill it up with grease and just fill up enough until the spring starts moving out.... more

Today we are going to show you part number 5780 from Towing Products. What we have here is a trailer tongue weight scale. We will cover a few features here, first off it has 2 reading types on here. One is in metric and the other is standard measurement read outs. On standard you have 0 to 2000 pounds tongue weight it can handle. Also here on the top this part is removable and what this is for is if you put this on the scale on blocks. You put this inside the tongue of the coupler you can get your weight off of that. Or without it you can put this under the jack and get pretty much the same accuracy. At this point we will show you how this works. To use this we need to get it as square under the jack as possible. Keep it very well centered the best you can. Then with the coupler unlatched and the truck kind of loose inside there so it does not drag when you pick it up.... more

First thing we need to do is take the lift assist apparatus and set it on the drivers side railing. Put it as close to the tailgate as possible without interfering with the pins. As you can see we have placed the apparatus on the rail, where there is enough clearance where the pin wont interfere with it, now we want to center it on the railing and mark the holes where were going to drill for the mounting bolts. With the holes marked, we are going to remove the apparatus and drill the holes using a half inch drill bit. Now that we have the holes drilled, we are going to put the lift apparatus back on the rail and the half inch mounting bolts. Now we are going to tighten them down at this time. We have the lift unit installed on the rail here and now we want to put the bracket onto the tailgate.... more
