Today we are going to show you part number 59409 from Rola. This is the bike mounting kit for GearSpace 34 the enclosed cargo carrier. Each kit includes a steel, hard point channel track complete with the mounting hardware. Quick release fork mount with bungee retainer. The channel track feature enables a user to slide the fork mount into any desired position along the track. The track itself is bolted onto the cargo carrier with the existing holes. Now we will show you how it works. We are going to open up the cargo carrier and show you where the tracking mounts onto the body. This is the track itself that bolts to the floor of the body. Today we are going to show you part number 5800200 from Highland. This is part of the Lets Go Aero product line. What we have here is a nice heavy cargo carrier. It does come in kit form and it does require some assembly. It is not too bad it comes with clear and easy to understand directions. This unit only fits on 2 inch receiver hitches. We will show you the actual measurements from the inside of the cargo carrier. The inside width of the cargo carrier is 32 inches and the inside length is 48 inches. One of the nice features is it has a built in anti rail feature which is similar to what you see on high end bike racks. Another nice thing is it has 2 different holes to give you clearance for different types of bumper and hitch combinations. We'll Start off by installing the base into our 2 inch receiver hitch and installing the anti-sway mechanism. To install our anti-sway device We have to install this bolt, lock washer and flat washer. It goes into the assembly here and we simply thread it down tight. Get as far as you can by hand and Thule provides a tool to tighten it down the rest of the way. All you have to do is snug it, you don't have to give it a lot of force. Then it all becomes one piece of your hitch. Now we're going to assemble our lock assembly, what we need to do is insert this core into our lock and we'll do that by using our pass key. Hold the lock core down, pull out your key and try it with the actual key. Then take out your plug and check the operation of the lock. What we have here is a cargo carrier, it's a 20x45 for 2” trailer hitches. This lightweight tubular cargo carrier allows for secure cargo storage. With its 350 pound capacity and powder coated finish, which helps it resist corrosion, this cargo carrier is almost ready for anything. It assembles easy, but does only fit 2 inch trailer hitches. This carrier from Bully is made completely from tube steel which helps make it so lightweight, about 26 pounds to be exact. It does not have any expanded metal on the floor to add weight. The Bully cargo carrier does need some assembly but only consists of four parts. One nice little detail about this rack, you'll notice there's three holes on the shank. This is a Light Kit for cargo carriers 63153 and 63155. We'll show you how this light kit gets installed on a cargo carrier which is part # 63153. To begin with we'll install the grommets, they just snap into place. They will be a little bit loose, but when you install the light it will spread out a little further. Now we simply install our lights, again they pop into place. When you have them in make sure the grommet is snapped in on both sides. Again for the other side. What we need to do next is start our wire harness, you have a yellow and brown wire, which goes to the left hand side. The green and brown wire goes to the right side. This cargo carrier has a capacity of 500 pounds and requires a 5/8 pin and clip which are sold separately. We're going to show you how to put it together and couple of hints to make it easier. The best way to start off simply is to have the cargo carrier upside down like we have it and bring the two halves together. Make sure it's good and tight and you have separations equal on both ends. They won't be perfect but get them as close as possible. What we'll do next is install our side plates. Make sure you have the logo facing the right way which in our case is upside down for the moment, then put it together. Now we can tighten our bolts down. Now repeat for the other half. This is a nice good sized waterproof bag that allows easy transport for large items on your cargo carrier or trailer for that matter. It's good for anything you can use to stuff in there to keep dry, or from getting dirty. As you can see in this application here we have it on a typical Rola cargo carrier and used on a two inch trailer hitch. The dimensions of this are 23X56, which are on the inside of the cargo carrier itself. If you notice the sides slant out a bit to provide a wider area on top, which comes out almost 59 inches. As you can see it has a heavy duty expanded metal base to it, this is actually one of the heaviest cargo carriers we have. Also on the side rails it has built in cut outs in case you want to add a light kit to it. This carrier comes in five pieces, it sounds like a lot but it's pretty easy to assemble, I'll show you the pieces. You'll have a left and right hand side of the basket, two chrome handles, and last piece is the shank itself. You can see the front half of the shank here, and it goes all the way back here to your hitch. This is all a welded one piece unit. As you can see we have it laying across a couple of boxes here to give you an overall idea of how it looks. We'll show you how it works and how good it goes with a cargo carrier. We'll start off with the hooks on the stretch net. As you can see they're made out of sturdy plastic and there's 20 of them. So if you have odd attachment points on your cargo carrier or what not, rest assured you'll have one or two hooks left over. We'll hook up a few to show how this stretch net can contain things on your cargo carrier. You don't have to hook it up to the bar either, if you have a different kind of cargo carrier you may be able to just wrap it underneath, or just go straight down also. As you can see we tied down most of the hooks and you can see that the cargo is well secured. This stretch nut is good for a variety of applications and is not limited to just cargo carriers. It's good for your average weekend warrior or larger industrial applications. Also it can be used to secure things in the back of your truck be as well. Now we'll install a bike on the adapter to show you how it works. Once you get your bike into position, make sure that this clamp is at a 90 degree angle with the bike frame. You then simply tighten it down, now we'll move on to the wheel straps. The tire wheel straps just wrap around the wheel and the rail. This is a bike adapter for your enclosed cargo carrier. This assembly gets bolted on top of the tray of your cargo carrier where you can mount your bikes onto. To begin the installation process we have to install these brackets here that get mounted into the tray itself. Basically you line it up with the existing holes already there and they go from the widest point out. You want the bars as wide as possible, what happens next is we simply insert these screws in the bottom up and these knobs clamp into place. Now we'll do the other side here. Next we'll assemble the rails themselves, as you can see there are two pieces which you hook together and get bolted into these slots right here. The slots are for adjustability for the final assembly so you have room to work with. This is a folding basket adapter for two inch trailer hitch mounted cargo carriers. Specifically this will fit cargo carrier model 52018. As you can see we have the parts out here, we'll install them on a cargo carrier and show you how it goes but first we'll show you the main points of it. Basically you see this bushing right here, what's going to happen is it's going to fit inside the tube of the cargo carrier itself. What happens is when it sits inside here, it eliminates all the slop. This pin here is just for when you have it up or fold it down, it's just this pin that keeps it in place. It has two positions: one for up and the other for down. We have a cargo carrier here we'll go ahead and install the adapter bar here, again you want to put your bushing in first. and that stays there as you slide your adapter bar over. As you can see here this is a really huge bag, that has 20 cubic feet of storage inside of it. As you can see this will definitely fill up your cargo carrier when it's full. You can put just about anything in it, your golf clubs, I can see camping gear going inside there. This is also really water tight, I've actually seen it go through a pressure washer and everything inside stayed dry. The material is a heavy duty vinyl industrial grade material. You can see it has a concealed double zipper due to the nice flap that covers the zipper when you're going down the road. It's just wraps around the carrier except for the shank which stays outside. The rest gets covered up, it also has a handy cargo area here to add whatever you want to it. It also has handles to carry it. We'll put it on the carrier to show you how it works. To begin with you want to lay the bag down as flat as possible, and drop the cargo carrier in its place. The next step is to work the bag around the corners of it. When that is done just grab the zipper and zip it up. There's a cover for the zipper on top of that to keep anything else out. This converts the bar of the cargo carrier from a 2 inch receiver to a 1 1/4 receiver. To start our process what we need to do is take off the old bar first. That necessitates taking off these four bolts, there's some block nut bolts on the bottom which we'll undo those, then we can uncrank the bolts from the top. Like I said before, there are these four lock nuts that have to come off and they just double nut the bolt into place. Now we can take off these four bolts on the top. Once you have the shank uninstalled, we're going to slide the new one underneath of it. We put our new bracket in which replaces the old one and put our new bolt in which goes directly in the center. Just thread it in place and hold it. Now we go to the other side. Now we tighten them up. There you have it for part # X12BAR.... more

We'll start the assembly by snapping everything together first, a simple press together where your poles meet. The next step is to unfold the bag and insert the supports. Once you have the framing installed, you flip it right side out and then we put our cross pieces in. Once you get the basic shape set up, take some time to push the corners out as far as possible, so you use all the fabric needed and there's no bunching up. For your basic frame set up, go ahead and install your Velcro straps. Lets go install it on the cargo carrier. Next we can take our straps and just pull them through the cargo carrier with the Velcro from high as possible and push them against the Velcro there. You do this on all four sides.... more

To cover a couple basic things about this cargo carrier, it's pretty nice in the fact that it's all made out of aluminum. It's light weight and when it's folded up into the position it's in now, it has easy carrying handles ran through the center here. So you just take it and pick it up. Since it's not flat like a normal cargo carrier is, it's easy for one person to install. It attaches to the hitch with a pin and clip sold separately. To unfold it, you just simply hold the two ends together, push that button, then allow one side to go down then the other and that pin locks back down into place. With the two outsides you repeat the process. Within seconds it's fully open.... more
