Assembly of a Reese 5 Bike Rack

This bicycle rack is good for 5 bikes and fits only a two inch receiver hitch. Well start off with how this rack goes together. First well our shank into our hitch and build our structures from that point on. The next part well install is the base or the hinge point. Next well install the post or the body of the rack into the hinge point. Next well install the pivot bolt, this is the actual point that the rack will move on. It has special washers that have to go on each side. When you tighten this bolt down you want to leave just enough slack for it to move up and down. Now well show why that bolt needs to be somewhat loose, this rack will move up and down with the bolt. Next what well install is the cradles themselves, the first cradle actually has an extra bracket that needs to be installed with the U-bolt. The others just have the U-bolt and the cradles themselves.
