Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2003 Chevy Silverado

Today on this 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 series we are going to be installing Firestone air ride system part number F2250. Before we actually get started working on the vehicle itself, we are going to do a little prep work to our air suspension kit. We are installing on the passenger side of the vehicle first. And I have the parts necessary for the passenger side laid out right here. The bottom bracket which is this larger piece right here is going to be standard. It will be the same piece on both the driver and passenger sides. The upper bracket, however, is going to be different. If you look on the bottom side of the bracket, there is an R or and L punched in there for right or left side of the vehicle. And you will notice that the part numbers are different as well. So, t he right one is going to be for the passenger side of the vehicle. We will take the air spring and we want to remove the coverings here from the top two studs and for the threaded portion for the air fitting. We are going to start the installation off by mounting the air spring to the upper bracket. What we want to take is one of the 3/8 by 1-1/2 inch bolts and go ahead and it from the bottom of the bracket up on the short leg. If you look at the bracket, you can see there is a higher leg and a shorter leg. You want to feed that onto the shorter leg. Go ahead and take the provided heat shield and it onto the air spring and put the upper bracket on. We are going to align the two 3/8 inch holes over the two studs on the air spring. Then we will take two of the locking hex nuts and go ahead and mount the upper bracket to the air spring. The heat shield here is only going to be used on the passenger side of the vehicle. And what we want to do when we tighten these 3/8 bolts down is to make sure the bracket stays aligned where the larger hole goes over where the air fitting is going to be. The fitting will thread in easily by hand until you get to the thread locker and then it will get hard to turn. Once you get to that point, go ahead and take a wrench and get it to fully seat another ¾ to one full turn. And what we want is the open end of the fitting to face out towards the heat shield. 2:06more

SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer Installation - 2010 Ford F-150- Video

SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer Installation - 2010 Ford F-150

Today on this 2010 Ford F-150 we are going to install SuperSprings part number SSA5MTKT. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and get the vehicle lifted up and we have the suspension unloaded. Now we have the wheels taken off but we do not have to do that. It makes things a lot easier if you can. Alright, the first thing we need to do is go ahead and install the mount kit. You need the mounting kit for vehicles that have axles that are mounted below the spring. We will go ahead and put the mount kit over top of the spring. It just gives us a nice flat surface for the SuperSpring to ride on. We will just go ahead and center it over it. And we will our U-bolts into place. We will go ahead and install the plate that goes on the bottom of the U-bolt itself. And we will install a flat washer and nut. We will do the same thing for the U-bolt going towards the front. And now we will go ahead and snug down the U-bolts. Make sure our bracket stays in place over the spring. 0:57more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2005 Ford F-250

Today on this 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty we are going to install Timbren rear suspension part number TFR250SDF. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and raise the truck in the air so we can lower our suspension. Now you do not have to remove the rear wheels but we are doing it just to make things a little bit easier to see. And what this product does is actually replaces the factory bump stop which is located right here. So our first step involved is to go ahead and unbolt it from the truck and remove it. Now there is a nut on top that we have to remove. Then we can lower it. 0:31more

SuperSprings Vehicle Suspension Installation - 2010 Ford F-350- Video

SuperSprings Vehicle Suspension Installation - 2010 Ford F-350

Today on this 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty, we are going to install part number SSA10 from SuperSprings. The first thing you want to do is go ahead and get the vehicle up in the air a little bit. You do not have to take off the wheel, but it makes things a lot easier to fit inside there. So, we have our wheel off. We have the suspension unloaded. And basically what is going to happen is we are going to set a block that goes on top of the factory overload spring right here. Alright, the first thing we want to do is go ahead and install this block that fits right here. Now this will fit a couple of different vehicles. You will need to flip it around and find out which is the best fit. Once you have that just like that, you can take the SuperSpring and lay it on top. And you will have to maneuver it around some cables, especially the parking brake cables, and make sure you do not hit anything else in the way. We also took off the bolts that go through the bottom, just to make it easier to thread everything inside because the unit does come preassembled. 1:07more

Firestone Work-Rite Load Assist Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram 1500

Today on this 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 we are going to install part number F8620 from Firestone. This is their Work-Rite Load Assist. To give you an idea of what is going on the new Firestone part actually replaces the factory bump stop right here. When you have the truck fully loaded, the only way it is going to stop is when it hits this bump stop and goes down to the axle. You can see we have got quite a bit of difference so if we put a load in the back of the truck or bounce up and down the road you can see how much travel this has. 00:28more

Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2006 Ford F-250

Today on this 2006 Ford F-250 we are going to install Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs using part number F2400. We are showing you now the components that are used to install one half of the kit. There is going to be two of everything for both sides of the vehicle. We are going to start off on our install by doing the driver side of the vehicle. The first thing we need to do to get started is to remove the old factory bump stop which is right here. There is a bolt on top that you have to get from the back side of the frame to unbolt it and it should come apart. It is a good idea to spray it down with some lubricant too to help remove it because that bolt does get rusted pretty easily. Moving on to the upper bracket, that is this piece right here, and it is going to wrap around the frame and it is going to have the spacer block that will go on top just like this. 00:54more
