Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we're going to be test fitting the Yakima QuickBack 2 Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, part number y02621. To begin our test fit we'll go ahead and place the carrier on top of our trunk. We'll put the top hooks at the top part of the trunk, the side hooks to the side and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk.We'll tighten up all the straps and then we'll be ready to load our bike. To load our bike we'll open up the arms and make them level with the ground or slightly inclined. We'll go ahead and undo the cradle straps, fit our bike into the cradles and secure our bike to the rack by tightening each strap.Once we've done that our bike is all loaded up and we're ready to hit the road. Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Yakima KingJoe Pro Two Bike Rack, part number y02624. We've already gone ahead and pre-assembled our bike rack according to the guide found within the instructions. We'll go ahead and place our bike rack on top of our trunk. We'll take the two top straps and secure them to the top of the trunk.We can then move to the side and bottom straps, connect them to the trunk here on the side next to the taillight as well as on the bottom just above the rear bumper cover. With all six straps attached we can go ahead and tighten them down securing our bike rack to the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and pull out the red levers on the inside of our bike carrier.This relieves the tension so that we can swing out our dual arms.more

Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Thule Raceway Trunk Mounted Two Bike Carrier, part number th9001. Now to begin our test fit we're first going to set the FitDial on our carrier. We'll set the FitDial to number eight as it stated in the instructions and place the carrier onto the vehicle's trunk. We'll put the top hooks to the top part of the trunk and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk.Note that you may to need to open up your trunk to get your hooks into position. We'll then turn the gray knobs on the left and right hand side of the carrier to tighten down the straps securing the carrier to the vehicle. We'll then flip out the gray lever at the center of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out.more

Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Thule Archway Two Bike Carrier with Adjustable Arms, part number th9009xt. To begin our test fit we need to look in the instructions and to Thule's Fit Guide where we see that our FitDial needs to be set to eight. Once we have that set we'll go ahead and place our carrier on top of our trunk. We need to make sure that the lower arm of our carrier is positioned on the upper tier of the bumper.Then we need to place the top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk. We'll place the lower clips in the bottom edge of the trunk and then we'll fit our side clips to the sides of the trunk. Once we have our clips in place and snugged down then we can go ahead and make our way around and secure each one until they're all tight.more

Today, on our 2012 Ford Fusion, well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Gordo 2-Bike Carrier for Long Wheelbase Bicycles, Part Number HRG2. Well begin our test fit, by placing the carrier on top of our trunk. As we adjust the top part of our carrier, the arms of our carrier move as well. We want to make sure that our arms are either straight out or slightly angled up and then now, well give us the correct location for the top part of our carrier.Once we have that set, we can go ahead and lock the side clips into place. Well go ahead and take the top hooks and secure them to the part of the trunk. Well take the side hooks, put them on the side of our trunk and take the bottom hooks, and put them on the bottom of our trunk.more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty well be test fitting the Thule Passage two bike carrier part #: TH910XT. To begin our test fit well place the bike rack up against our cargo door and adjust it as necessary. The fit guide for this vehicle does say to set the fit dial to 11. With that done well go ahead and place the bike rack against the door and bring the two top straps up and hook them to the cargo door just behind the roof here on the roof line. Well then take the remaining four straps and hook one side of the strap to the side of the cargo door, here just above the taillight, and the other side to the cargo door just above the rear bumper fascia. Well then move around the bike rack, tightening up the straps, securing our bike rack to the vehicle.more

Today, on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test-fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition, two-bike carrier trunk mount, part number hrf6-2. Now, to begin our test-fit, we'll go ahead and place the trunk mount bike rack against the cargo door. We'll then take the two top hooks, and hook them to the cargo door here at the roof line, just behind the roof. Now, with those two straps in place, we can then work around the other remaining four straps, and hook them to the cargo door. The two side straps will hook to the cargo door, just above the tail lights, and the two lower straps will hook to the cargo door just above the bumper fascia.Now, with all six straps in place, we can go ahead and work around tightening each of the straps evenly to make sure that out bike rack is secured and centered with the vehicle. Now, we've already gone ahead and made sure that we left enough room to swing out our dual arms.more

To fit the Raceway to our vehicle we need to make sure that the fit dial is set according to what we find in the instructions. Once weve done that, we can set the trunk mount rack on top of our vehicle. The upper arm of our carrier will rest on the trunk and the lower arm of our carrier should be positioned on the upper tier of our rear bumper. Well place the hooks on the top at the trunk gap right by the rear windshield. Then well take the other two hooks and hook them to the bottom of the trunk lid.more

Today on our 2010 Chevy Cobalt, well test fitting the Yakima Super Joe Pro three trunk mounted bike carrier, part number y02630. Now to begin our test fit, well set the carrier onto the vehicle and use the gray knobs on the left and right hand side of the carrier to adjust to fit the vehicle. Note that the arms of the carrier need to be completely horizontal or slightly angled up. Once weve established this position well lock the knobs into position and put the top straps at the top of the part of the trunk, the side straps to the side part of the trunk, and the bottom straps to the bottom part of the trunk. You may need to open up the trunk to get the bottom hooks into position. Well then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle.more
