Today on our 2012 Chevy Colorado we'll be test fitting part number TH822XT the Thule Bed-Rider Locking Aluminum 2 Bike Carrier. To begin our test fit we'll simply set the bed-rider into the bed making sure the bed rail clamps are even on both the left and the right. We can then clamp it down using the clamp on the passenger's side to lock it into place. With it locked in place our bed-rider's ready to be loaded. To load it we'll simply make sure that the skewer is opened up and ready for our front fork on our bike. We can then place the fork of the bike into the skewer and clamp it down.more

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Thule BedRider Bed Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH822XT. Now to install our BedRider, we'll simply place the bike rack across the bed of our truck, and with it loosely fitted, we can simply clamp down the clamp to secure it to the truck bed. With that, our bike rack is loaded and we're ready to load our bikes. Now to load our bikes, we'll simply remove the front wheel of the bike, place the fork into the skewer of our bike rack, and clamp it down. Alright today, on our 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD 8-Foot Bed Pickup Truck, we're going to do a test fit of Yakima part number Y01133 for locking bedhead. Alright, one quick note about this bike carrier is that it does grip to the side of the bed of the truck and you cant use it with bed liners. However, if you would accommodate for it, you may have to cut a hole in for a bed liner. In this case, we dont have a bed liner so it will be very easy to see how it operates. We'll start off by positioning the rail clip and then well put the fork lock in position. Once we have it where we want it, we'll go ahead and tighten it down with the provided Allen key.more

Yakima BedHead Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Ram- Video
Today, on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, well be test fitting the Yakima Locking BedHead Front Fork Bike Rack, part number Y01133.Well begin by using the rail clip and the fork block. Well bring the rail clip underneath the bedside hooking it up and around the bedside itself, then slide the fork block into position and tighten it down using the Allen wrench provided.With the fork block tightened down, well now simply inert the skewer and screw down the adjustment knob accordingly. And with our skewer within the fork block, were now ready to load our bike. Well simply undo the front wheel on our bicycle, insert the front fork into the fork block making sure that the skewer goes through the wheel mount on the fork, then well tighten down the skewer to secure the bike to the bed. And with our bike secured, were now ready to hit the road.And that completes our test fit of the Yakima BedHead, part number Y01133 on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500.more

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 well be test fitting the Swagman Bed Mounted 2-Bike Carrier, product number S64702. With our bike carrier preassembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well simply bring the bike rack up into the bed, position the driver's side arm on the bed rail and extend the passenger's side arm out to contact the passenger's side bed rail. When it's snugly in place, well simply push down on the center of the bike rack which will clamp it down to the bed of the truck. With the clamp, its secured to the vehicle and were ready to load our bike. This allows you to carry bikes in the truck by removing the front wheels of the bikes and the forks get clamped into place onto the rack. The bicycle rack as stocked comes with two wheel mounts for your bicycles. However you can add a third bike if you like by using part number THBR1. This fits a variety of different bed types. This is fully expandable so you can make it short or wide as you need it. Basically it twists into position and then you can lock it down and you will not have to worry about it being taken out. The forks will fit inside of here it works just like a regular bicycle skewer. And next, you have these straps here that actually hold it against the tailgate itself. First off well open our truck bed here, set inside our Insta-Gater, and theres a couple things to do first and well show you. First we need to lengthen the straps and well do that by pressing down on the center button and pulling them out. Now these straps here fit in between the tailgate and the bed of the truck. What happens is we close the tailgate and it traps them inside. That way the rack wont go anywhere. Now that we have the straps inside we need to tighten everything down, and this nice handy little ratchet will do that for us. more
