Today on our 2015 Ford Fusion we're going to review and install the CURT class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number C12091. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, or not see, this is a super nice hitch because our crosstube is hidden behind the rear fascia. The only thing really exposed is our fully welded hitch, nice black powder coating, our chain hold downs on either side of our 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube, and the pre-drilled 1/2" hole for your pin and clip. Now this is a class two hitch so we have up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and 3,500 pounds of two capacity. Next I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier.more

Today on our 2012 Honda CRV we're going to review and install Hidden Hitch class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 87621. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, we got a nice round crosstube design with a fully welded construction and a nice black powder-coated finish. That's tucked up nicely underneath the vehicle and the only thing really exposed is our class three 2" by 2" receiver tube, 5/8 pre-drilled pinhole going through the receiver tube, and then 1/2" hole that's designed for an anti-rattle bolt. Then we have our chain hold downs on each side. This hitch is capable up to 520 pounds of tongue weight and 3,500 pounds of tow capacity.more

Today on our 2012 Honda CRV we're going to review and install Draw-Tite class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 75742. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, we got a nice round crosstube design with a fully welded construction and a nice black powder-coated finish. Today on our 2009 Smart Fortwo we're going to be doing an install and also taking a look at the Curt Custom Fit Class One Trailer Hitch Receiver. This offers an inch and a quarter opening. Its part number is C11020. Here's what the hitch is going to look like once you get it installed on the vehicle. It's going to follow right along the bottom of the exhaust nicely. The only thing we really had to take off the car was just the serpentine belt shield here on the side. Drill a few holes and you're ready to put it in.more

Today on our 1995 Dodge Ram pickup we're going to review and install the CURT class five Extra Duty 2" receiver tube hitch, part number C15300. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. We've got a fully welded construction with a strong square tube that attaches our receiver tube, which is a 2" by 2", has the pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole, and chain hold downs on either side of our receiver tube. It's got a nice classic look that adds some nice finishing touches to the look of our vehicle. Now our hitch is capable up to 2,400 pounds of tongue weight and 16,000 pounds of tow capacity. Today on our 1995 Dodge Ram Pickup we're going to be installing the CURT 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 14001. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, we've got a nice, sturdy fully welded construction with a square crosstube. Another really nice feature about this hitch is that our crosstube is hidden mostly behind the rear bumper, so the only thing really exposed is our 2" by 2" receiver tube, our 5/8 pre-drilled pinholes going through the receiver tube, and our chain hold downs on either side of the receiver tube. This is capable up to 1,000 pounds of tongue weight and 10,000 pounds of towing capability. Today on our 2015 Fiat 500, we'll be installing the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class 1, inch and a quarter, part number 60289. As you can see, this is what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. It is a Class 1 hitch with a inch and a quarter opening, so you're going to be limited to small accessories, such as a two-by carrier or a small cargo carrier with a inch and a quarter shank. This features a half inch pinhole for your pin and clip, easy access to your tie-down loops to secure straps around your bikes or whatever else, or your small trailer if you do have a small cargo trailer. You are limited to a 200 pound tongue weight and a 2,000 towing capacity, but you want to check your manufacturer's specs so you can see what the towing capacity is for your vehicle. It is a nice powder-coated finish with fully welded seams. The nice feature about this particular hitch is the crossbar is tucked up underneath the rear fascia.more

Today on our 2015 Fiat 500, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Sportframe trailer hitch receiver, Class I with 1-1/4in opening, part number 24873. AS you see, this is what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. It is the Class I hitch with 1-1/4in opening, so you're going to be limited to smaller accessories such as a two bike carrier, or a small cargo carrier with a 1-1/4in shank. It does feature a 1/2in pinhole for your pin and clip, easy access to your tie-down loops to secure straps around your bikes, or whatever else, or your small trailer if you do have a small cargo trailer. You are limited to a two hundred pound tongue weight and a two thousand pound towing capacity. We want to check your manufacturer's specs so you can see what the towing capacity is for your vehicle.more

Today on our 2006 Subaru Impreza we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the CURT custom fit class one trailer hitch, part number C11318. Here you can see what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. Now, as you can see, it comes down maybe just a little further than some of the others that I've seen here, but it was also a little easier to put in the car because of the way this is designed here. It's a little bit thinner area that goes over our exhaust system, so kind of some give and some take there. It hangs down here, which is a little different I think than what some of the other ones do. Aesthetically, you may decide you like one over the other. Something we did like about this this hitch is that it mounts using just four bolt hole locations rather than the six.more

It allows you access to your 2" x 2" receiver tube and your tie down points and your 5/8ths pinhole and your J-style locking pin. It does re-use existing hardware and frame well nuts to install the hitch. There's no modifications needed to your vehicle to install the hitch and it does allow you to re-use your tie down locations and your tow hooks. It allows you access to your 2" by 2" receiver tube and your tie down points and your 5/8" pin hole and your J-style locking pin. Today on our 2010 Mazda CX9 we're going to do a review and install of the CURT class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number C12112. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a fully welded construction with a nice black finish, so it blends in with the underbody of our vehicle. Here we have a rectangular crosstube and our receiver tube, keeping a good percentage of our hitch hidden behind the rear fascia. This is a 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube, 1/2" pre-drilled hole on both sides of the receiver tube for our pin or lock, and chain hold downs for securing our trailer. This hitch is capable up to 400 pounds of tongue weight and 4,000 pounds of tow capacity.more

As you can see, the only thing really visible is our receiver tube which is our 2 inch by 2 inch, our predrilled hole for our 5/8 pin and our chain hold out. The remaining portion of our hitch is hidden behind the rear facial making it a really sleek and stylish design when added to our CX5. Next I'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 2 3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 13 1/4 inches.more

Today on our 2015 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Hidden HItch class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 90230. Note, this vehicle is equipped with the automatic rear opening hatch with the foot motion sensor. With the hitch in place, the window for viewing the sensor will be to either side of the receiver tube, as the sensor will not pick up anything that lines up with the receiver tube and flange. As you can see with our hitch installed, our rear motion sensor lift gate still operates. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's got a fully welded construction for a nice sturdy piece. It's got a nice black powder-coated finish with a square crosstube.more

Today on our on our 2015 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Draw-Tite class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 36524. Since this vehicle is equipped with the hands-free lift gate design and our sensor is mounted here between the bumper and the muffler, our opening or sensor area is going to be from here to here between the hitch and the muffler, somewhat limiting our options but still accessible to use the hands-free design. Now with our hitch installed, as you can see, we still have the option of our hands-free lift gate option. Here's with our hitch will look like once it's installed. We've got a nice round crosstube design. While it does sit below the exhaust, it sits far enough forward that it doesn't distract from the look of our vehicle. Here towards the end of our bumper is our class two 1-1/4" receiver hitch with our pre-drilled 1/2" hole.more
