From the center of the hitchpin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is three and three-quarter inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is fifteen inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. To begin the install of our hitch, we'll first need to remove the rear facial piece. This face is held in with some plastic fasteners, so we'll squeeze the two lower fasteners and we'll pop the five fasteners across the top loose.more

With the hitch installed, I'll give you a couple measurements that will help you choose accessories like bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the bumper is about 4", and from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is about 17-1/4". Now let's go see how it's installed. We'll first start by finding our mounting holes on the van. You want it there, there, and we'll use the back hole right back here. We'll use the same holes on the passenger side of the vehicle. This is the hardware we'll be using. We have one block, carriage bolt, and a flange nut.more

Today on our 2011 Nissan Altima we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch part number 24796. Here's what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 6". From the ground to the top of the opening on the receiver it's approximately 10". Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. To begin with we'll need to open up the trunk, then we'll need to remove the carpet from the rear of the trunk as well as the fiber board that covers the spare tire or storage bin tray if there's one present. In this case we went ahead and removed the spare tire as well so that we'd be able to vacuum out the drill cuttings once we we're done drilling the holes. Now we'll need to go ahead and go underneath the vehicle.more

All right today, on this 2010 Honda Fit, we're going to install part number 24826 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the Honda Fit. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top of your receiver opening, down to the ground, will be about 9-1/2 inches and from center of the hitch-pin hold to the edge of the bumper will be about 4 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch in installed. The first thing we do is go ahead and get our vehicle ready to install the hitch. Now here on the driver's side, this tab has to be removed. Let's go ahead and make a mark, basically go along the ridge here of the plastic and we'll just cut it out. Now to remove the rivet, we will use a flat-plate screwdriver, just pop out the center. Work the rivet out and then we'll pull down on our plastic a little bit and we'll just go ahead and cut it out.more

With those measurements, it will assist you in selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. We'll now go ahead with the installation. Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we'll be installing the DrawTite hitch, part number 75902. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the fascia panel on each side. To remove these fascia panels, we'll remove the push pin fasteners, three in total, and then a screw out center push pin fastener towards the front of the fascia. Note, there are panels on both sides and we're removing both. These fasteners are the same on each side. Now to remove the push pin fasteners, we're going to pry out on the center of the fastener with a flat blade screwdriver and then remove the fastener completely. To remove the screw out center push pin fastener, at the front of the fascia, you'll have to have a gentle hand as you screw the center out and then remove the fascia. With our fascia out, we'll set it aside for re-installation later. Now, move over to the driver's side and repeat the same process. Now, with our panels out of the way, it'll open up the frame rail. However, on the passenger side, we'll still need to remove the tow hook, which is secured by a total of four fasteners.more

Now we'll give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 17 inches. From the center of our hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2-1/4 inches. Also, one thing to note, the hitch does stick past the bumper, probably about 1/2 inch. Now we'll show you how the hitch is installed.Speaker 2: Before we do that, we'll show you how the hardware works with the hitch. The block and the carriage bolt will be pulled through the frame and then go through the hitch. Underneath we'll get a conical-tooth washer. When you see the teeth in the washer, they always face towards the hitch.more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is four inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is ten and a half inches. This will assist you selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. Now, we'll go ahead with the installation. Now, to begin our install, we'll first remove the rubber plugs from the frame rails, one on each side. We'll go ahead and set the plugs aside, as they will not be reinstalled; noting that these will be two of the four attachment points. The third attachment point will be the tow hook and our fourth attachment point will be on the driver's side frame rail, forward of the frame from the previous attachment point.more
