Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be installing the Curt Class 3 2 inch receiver tube hitch, part number C13182. First we'll go ahead and point out the attachment points. The 4 attachment points will be the manufacturer's hardware here on the side of the frame, 2 on each side. We'll be removing the manufacturer's bolts, putting our hitch in place, and then reinstalling the manufacturer's hardware. Let's go ahead and remove the bolts now. Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to be installing the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 87486. Now, here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper, we have about 5-1/2 inches. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, we have about 15-1/2 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now, we're going to begin our installation by going underneath the vehicle and installing a safety strap underneath the rear exhaust here. Now with our safety strap in place, we're going to need to remove a total of four rubber exhaust hangers to allow our exhaust to be lowered down a little bit to give us some working room. Let's go ahead and point out the four rubber exhaust hangers.more

From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground we have approximately fifteen and a quarter inches. Today on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country, we'll be installing the Curt 1-1/4 inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number C-12264. To begin our install, we'll first need to lower the exhaust on the passenger's side. There are two fasteners we'll want to remove with two separate hangers. One just behind the rear axle that holds the tail pipe, one just forward of the rear axle securing the muffler. Once we remove the two bolts, we'll allow the exhaust to come down. We can now gain access to the fasteners to the frame on the passengers side. So there are two fasteners that we'll need to access, starting at the rear of the frame will be the first two.more

Today, on our 2013 Ford Fusion, we'll be installing the Curt hitch, part# C12091. Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. Next, I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist your selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 6". From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10-1/2". We'll now go ahead with the installation. We've gone ahead and raised the vehicle up, and our first step will be to remove the under-body panel. There are multiple fasteners along the back edge of the panel and the front edge. We'll start by removing the back fasteners first. We got out screw fasteners out. Then, we'll remove the pushpin fasteners. To remove the pushpin fasteners, we'll take out flat-blade screwdriver, get underneath the center of the fastener, once we have the center pried out, we can get underneath the entire fastener and remove it. Now, we'll move along the front edge and now allow the panel to come down.more

Today on our 2008 Ford Escape we'll be installing the Hidden Hitch, part number 90108. This is what it will look like once we install the hitch. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10 1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Here, on the inside of each frame rail, will be our attachment points for a total of four attachment points, two on each side, using these pre-drilled holes in the frame as our attachment points, using the end of the frame to install our hardware. Note we've already gone ahead and lowered and removed the spare tire to make it easier to install the new hitch. To secure our hitch, we'll be using the half-inch carriage bolt and block, along with a half-inch conical tooth washer, the teeth of the washer will face the hitch, a half-inch nut and the half-inch pull wires provided with our install kit. To get our hardware into position, we'll first take the pull wire, feed it through the attachment point and out the end of the frame.more

Today on our 2010 Jeep Patriot, we're going to be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is a class III, so it's a 2 inch x 2 inch receiver hitch tube, the part number is 13548. First step in our installation is going to be to take a some form of support. We like to use a cam buckle strap here. We're going to bring this right up underneath the exhaust pipe. I've gone from the control arm here to right up underneath the exhaust pipe and tighten that down. We'll then take our exhaust hanger tool.more
