Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Toyota Prius - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2014 Toyota Prius, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the draw tight sport frame trailer hitch receiver. This is a custom fit class inch and a quarter opening, it's part number is 24847. Here's what the hitch is going to look like once you get it installed on your Prius, it's a nice kind of a smaller looking hitch than some of the other ones that I've seen. You're going to have the inch and a quarter opening of course. As you can see when you come down to the rear of the vehicle it sticks out just slightly, maybe an inch or so past the rear of the vehicle so you'll get full use out of it with the ball mount added to it. It will stick out a little bit so you want to be careful when walking around. Of course you're going to have your safety chain hookups here. With a Class One you're really going to be looking at very light duty towing if any. Some smaller cargo carriers are available with it and bike racks, you can do up two bikes whether you're using a two bike rack or a four bike rack, you just want to limit it to two bike capacity. These can come in handy for giving it some extra attachment points for a bike rack.more
