This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on our Silverado 1500. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out with selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 1 inch. Also the hitch actually goes past the bumper a little bit about 1 inch as well. Also our height from our top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 19 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how it's installed. To start off on our install we need to get our truck ready.more

Today on our 2009 Pontiac Torrent we'll be installing the Curt Hitch, part number C12291. This is what the hitch looks like after it's been installed on the vehicle. Now we'll go over a few measurements to assist you in choosing accessories such as ball mounts, bike racks, or cargo carriers. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost part of the bumper is four and a half inches, and from the top inside edge of the receiver tube to the ground is fourteen inches. Now let's go ahead with our installation. To begin our install I'll go ahead and point out our attachment points. We'll have a total of six attachment points.more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue- Video

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we'll be installing the DrawTite hitch, part number 75902. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the fascia panel on each side. To remove these fascia panels, we'll remove the push pin fasteners, three in total, and then a screw out center push pin fastener towards the front of the fascia. Note, there are panels on both sides and we're removing both. These fasteners are the same on each side. Now to remove the push pin fasteners, we're going to pry out on the center of the fastener with a flat blade screwdriver and then remove the fastener completely. To remove the screw out center push pin fastener, at the front of the fascia, you'll have to have a gentle hand as you screw the center out and then remove the fascia. With our fascia out, we'll set it aside for re-installation later. Now, move over to the driver's side and repeat the same process. Now, with our panels out of the way, it'll open up the frame rail. However, on the passenger side, we'll still need to remove the tow hook, which is secured by a total of four fasteners.more

Before we begin removing the rubber isolators from metal hangers, we'll go ahead and take a safety strap and put it under the exhaust so that it'll help control the weight and we can safely lower it. We'll first go ahead and locate the exhaust hangers. There are a total of five hangers, two for each muffler, one on the inside and outside of the muffler and then one just forward of the rear axle.more

Now, to begin our install, we'll first remove the rubber plugs from the frame rails, one on each side. We'll go ahead and set the plugs aside, as they will not be reinstalled; noting that these will be two of the four attachment points. Today on our 2011 Volkswagen Routan we're going to be installing hidden hitch part number 90169. This is what the hitch looks like once on the vehicle. Now, here are a few measurements to help you in selecting a few accessories such as a ball mount, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. For the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper is approximately six inches and from the top of the receiver hole to the ground is approximately twelve and a quarter inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. To begin with, you'll need to locate the two rear exhaust hangars. One is near the muffler and the other one is just in front of the rear suspension. You'll want to remove both of these bolts to allow you to get to the existing bolts that are in the lug nuts. On the drivers side you'll remove the two rear bolts and on the passenger side you will only remove the two rear ones making sure that you leave the front bolt in place to hold the bumper on. Now that we have moved all the existing hardware that will be re-used in attaching our hitch, here's the locations. Let's go ahead and slide our hitch up into place.more
