Blue Ox Tow Bar Installation - 2004 Mini Cooper- Video

Today on this 2004 Mini Cooper were going to do a test fit of part number bx7365 from Blue Ox. This is their Alpha Tow Bar. Now were going to use a test stand to hold our tow bar up while we do our demonstration. Well go ahead and put it into our hitch and install the pin and clip. Now the tow bar is folded to the side, so well unfold it, well pull it up and over to the other side to release the pin that holds it in place. Once the pin is in the center of the slot, now we can go ahead and fold it down.more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Sonic- Video

Today on our 2012 Chevy Sonic, well be installing the Roadmaster Falcon all terrain tow bar, part number rm-522. Well be installing this on to the Roadmaster easy two baseplate with removable arms, part number 523173-1. The first step of installing our Falcon tow bar, well be installing the quick disconnect brackets on to the removable arms of the baseplate. To do this, well take the bracket lining up the predrilled holes on the bracket with the predrilled holes on the arms. Then well take our bolt and run it through the bolt plate, through the bracket, and through the arm securing it with a flat washer, split lock washer and nut. Therell be a total of two bolts per arm, for a total of four bolts altogether.Now with all of our hardware installed finger tight, well then take the quick disconnect base and drop it into position on top of the quick disconnect brackets.more

RoadMaster Coiled Safety Cables Installation- Video

Today on our 2012 Chevy Sonic, well be installing the Roadmaster 68 single hook coiled safety cables, part number rm-643. Well be using this in conjunction with Roadmaster Falcon all terrain tow bar, part number rm-522, and the Roadmaster easy two baseplate kit with removable arms, part number 523173-1. First well take one of our cables and go ahead and remove the D-link, well feed it through the built in cable guides on the Falcon tow bar, then well pull it towards the disconnect base. Then once we have it thread through the guide, well go ahead and take the eight inch safety cable from the baseplate and the safety cable and install them onto the D-link. Next well take the D-link feed it through the predrilled hole and the quick disconnect base and secure it with the D-link. Then well take the steel hook with a spring loaded latch and secure it to the chain loops on the hitch.more

Blue Ox Tow Bar Installation - 2011 Ford Escape- Video

Today on this 2011 Ford Escape, we're going to install the Blue Ox Aventa LX Tow Bar, part number BX7445. With our base plate already mounted on the Escape and the tabs installed, we're ready to go ahead and install the tow bar onto the RV and then connect it to the Escape. Ideally, we'll be doing this on solid-level ground, but unfortunately, the bad weather today doesnt permit us to do that. We got the RV inside installed and pinned in to the hitch. We can now go ahead and connect the arms to the Escape. We'll then remove my pins that come pre-installed and you can see.more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Installation - 2006 Jeep Liberty- Video

Today we are going to show you part number RM-576 from Roadmaster. This is their Sterling All Terrain tow bar. We will be installing this on a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Our Jeep here already has the base plates installed so we are going to concentrate on the tow bar. We have got the parts laid out in the order of assembly. Starting off with these two pieces right here, these are the adapter parts that go to your face plate that is mounted on your vehicle which allows you to connect this cross bar to the base plates and then to this cross bar the sterling all terrain tow bar mounts to it. Start with the brackets that are listed for the driver side and passenger side of a car. This will get mounted up like this and then the bracket for the safety chains is going to get mounted on the bottom like this. Go ahead and bolt up these two halves and put the assembly on to the tow bar bracket. 01:00more

Roadmaster Stowmaster Review- Video

Today we are going to be showing you part number RM-501, the Roadmaster Stowmaster car mounted tow bar weighted at 6,000 pounds. The tow bar centers and locks itself as you drive ahead. That is a 6,000 pound capacity. The tow bar itself weighs 48 pounds, however this will not work with the MX series base plates. We are going to go ahead and show you some of the distinct features about this 48 pound tow bar. The tow bar gets attached to your vehicle using these brackets here and you can see they actually offer a wide range of movement as you are driving on down the road. These are the locking bars here and back here is the coupler mount which will be hooking up to your ball mount. Before we put this on we are going to show you how this folds up. As you see here this is bar that hooks up to the car. Turning this around you can see that this is locking it up to make sure that it does not move. You simply just turn like so and it folds up to a nice neat little area here. It defiantly makes it much more easy for storage.more

Roadmaster Falcon 2 All-Terrain Non Binding Tow Bar Review- Video

Today we are going to show you part number RM-522 from Roadmaster. This is the Roadmaster Falcon all terrain non binding tow bar, rated for 6000 pounds. A couple facts are that it comes with a non binding freedom latch that disconnects the first time every time. It also features an auto lock towing mechanism which allows both tow bars to extend or retract for a quick connection. Also if you drive away the arms will self center and automatically lock themselves together. The use of the stainless steel components allow for smooth and trouble free operation which prevents corrosion that will bind up moving parts. Now we will go ahead and install it in a typical 2 inch receiver hitch and show you some more features it has. This part number does come complete with the base bar and the tow bar itself. Also the base bar itself, the hardware it mounts to on your base plates on your vehicle it does come complete with the hardware to attach to that. more

Today we are going to show you part number RM-525 from Roadmaster. This is a Roadmaster 2002 Motor home mounted tow bar. This particular Tow Bar actually fits only blue ox or demo plates that are installed on your vehicle. Another couple quick facts about the Falcon 2 is that the whole assembly weighs 34 pounds and has a 6000 pound towing capacity. Next thing we will do is install it in a typical class 3 receiver hitch and show you the features of it. Next we want to show you the flexibility of this tow bar. It is pretty neat because you have 2 axis of movement. You have vertical and left to right. Next we will show you how a tow bar folds up when you disconnect it from your vehicle. Today we are going to show you part number RM-576 from Roadmaster. This is their sterling all terrain non binding tow bar with 6 wire electrical. This system has a 6000 pound load capacity. It also fold up for storage on motor homes with the painted storage latch. Now we are going to go ahead and place it into a hitch and show you how it sets with other vehicles. Now seeing as we do not have an RV here we are going to be using just a regular run in the mill truck. We are going to be placing it on another apparatus just simulating what it would look like being hooked up to a car. Alright we are going to show you some more of the movement features of this.
