Cipa Towing Mirrors Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram- Video

Today, on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, well be test fitting the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror for the driver side, Part Number CM11401. Now, these slip-on towing mirrors give you an extra advantage when towing large boats or trailers giving you an expanded field of vision to help you when maneuvering these items down the road.Now, before we begin our test fit, well first need to put the soft foam padding on to the black bracket of our mirror. But for todays demonstration, we wont be installing the foam pad.Were now ready to begin our test fit. Well take our CIPA Custom Towing Mirror and slip it on to our Dodge Rams manufacturing mirror. You can notice the grooves. On the underside of the CIPA mirror, well slide directly on to the top and bottom of our Dodge Ram manufacturers mirror.Once the mirror is slid all the way on, well then move to the back of the mirror where well slide on our black clip.more

Today, we'll be using Chevy Silverado for test-fit of our Long View, original costumed towing mirrors that are slide on, part number ctm1600. To begin with, you will notice that each of the mirror housings have sections of foam as well of a felt pad inside, to help eliminate any scratching of your factory mirrors. As you will notice on the mirrors, there is a little LH or RH stamped on the inside. The LH is for the left hand side, or driver side, and the RH is for the passenger side.We will start with the driver side. It is helpful if you take the bracket, and slide it through the back of the mirror first before putting it over the factory mirror. Once you slide this in place, you will take the L shape bracket, and slide it over, and put an in cap on it.more

Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2006 Dodge Ram- Video

Today on our 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, well be test fitting the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors, part number CTM3100B. This will be a pair, one for the driver and passenger side.First we'll go ahead and install our mirrors. To install the mirror, we'll take the drivers side mirror and slide it onto and over the manufacturers mirror, lining up the inner edge of the mirror with the groove in the manufacturers mirror.Once into position, we'll take the hold down hook, feed it from the front side of the mirror towards the back going through the rear hole cut out in our custom towing mirror and then securing it with the hand knob.Now with our mirror installed, its fully customizable and can be adjusted as necessary to fit your vehicle and trailer.Now we'll go ahead and repeat the process on the passenger side.With both sides installed, thatll complete the test fit of the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors, part number CTM3100B on our 2006 Dodge Ram pickup.more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2005 Toyota Sequoia, we're going to be test fitting the long view slip on custom fit towing mirrors, part number CTM4000. With a hardware kit, we're going to have two curled hooks, two flat hooks, four knobs, two felt strips and two adapter pieces. The adapter pieces here may be mirror images of each other, or they may be identical. Either way, they'll still install on the vehicle. The first thing we need to do is apply the felt strips. First, we'll cut the felt strip and install it on the adapter that we'll be using on the driver side. Well install part of the felt here on the high ridge, and we'll take another piece and put it around the eye-lit on the top.more

Today on this 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, were going to do a test fit of part number CTM1600. Well work on the passenger side and well go ahead and slide the mirror over the factory mirror. Well slide it into place and push it on as far as possible. There is some foam inside the towing mirror, so itll compress a little bit as you push it in. Now well install the hardware to hold it in place. Well put the hook the goes into the front of the mirror with the round disc and then the L shaped bracket thatll help the fasteners go around the 90 degree turn and then well install the knob on the other side and then well install the hook to the other side of the 90 degree angle and install the knob onto it.Leaving this all loose in place, well go ahead and push it around and catch the inside edge of the mirror. When our things are hooked up we can go ahead and tighten it down, it usually only takes a few turns after that.more

Today on our 2013 Chevy Tahoe, well be testing the Longview Slide On Original Custom Towing Mirrors, part number CTM 1600.Now to begin our test fit, well slide our new Longview mirrors onto the original manufactures mirror. Note that each mirror is designed for only one side of the vehicle.Now with the mirror on, well install the brackets. Well slide the plastic piece onto the hole at the end of the mirror with the flat rounded piece at one end. Well then slide the next long plastic piece with the hook through the hole on the L-bracket. Note when tightening the knobs before the hook is secured, tighten the knobs down just a little bit to ensure the hook can get around the mirror.Well now take the hook and put it around the manufactures existing mirror. Well then tighten down the knobs to secure the Longview mirror to the manufactures mirror.more

To install our mirror, well first take the felt strip and put it on the shoe. The shoe is the wedge that will mount on the inside of the mirror. To install the felt strip well peel back the two-way adhesive, well put it across the face of the shoe that will touch the mirror. First, were going to take one of our flat hooks and feed it in from the back side of the shell. Then, we can take our new mirror and slip it over the OEM mirror on our Yukon. Well take the adapter and slip it over our hook and then gently thread on one of our hand knobs. Well take the other hook, and hook it to the front side of our original mirror, feed it back through the adapter and secure it with a hand knob again on the other side. Then, we can slowly adjust the hand knobs to tighten the new mirror over our factory mirror.more

Today, on our 2005 Ford F150, well be installing the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror, Slip On, for the drivers side, part number 11801. To install your mirror, you can just slide the mirror over the mirror head insert the wedge between the towing mirror and the mirror head. You then align the threaded hole with the molded cup on the back of the wedge and screw the knob through the raised hole on the back of the towing mirror and tighten it down securely. With that done, your mirror is secured. These mirrors will allow you to manually adjust the mirror face and customize your view. The aerodynamic shape of the mirror helps to prevent vibration and wind noise.more

Today on our 2005 Ford F-150, well be test fitting the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors, part number CTM2300A. Now, this is a two-piece kit. It does come with both the drivers side as well as the passengers side mirrors. All well need to do to install the mirrors is slide them over the factory mirror but then slid over the factory mirror. CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2003 Dodge Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 well be installing the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror for the drivers side part number 10701. This will work in conjunction with the passenger side part number 10702. Now all well need to do to install our custom mirror is simply slide it over the factory OEM mirror and then using the wedge well lock it into place. Once the wedge is in place, well simply use the knob on the back of the mirror to tighten it down and secure our wedge and that will do it for our CIPA Mirror on our 2003 Dodge Ram 2500.more
