Today, on our 2011 Toyota Corolla, well be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, Part Number 55542. To begin our install, well first open up the rear cargo door and remove the spare tire cover. Next, well need to remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, well remove two pushpin fasteners and then gently pull up on the rear threshold unlocking the fasteners underneath.Now, well go ahead and set the thresholds aside and remove the two fasteners securing the carpet liner on the driver side. To remove the pushpin fasteners, you can either use a flat play screwdriver or a trim panel tool. After removing the fasteners here on the driver side, we can go ahead and pull back the carpeting and well expose the manufacturers wiring going in the back of the tail light assembly.Now well move over to the passenger side and repeat the same process.more

Today on our 1999 Ford Ranger, we'll install the custom fit vehicle wiring harness 4-pole connector, part number 118241. To begin our install, we'll first need to locate the manufacturer's tow port. For this application, it's behind the bumper here on the driver's side. To gain access to it, we'll just take a trim panel tool or flat blade screwdriver and pry the connector free from the secured point behind the bumper. Then once we have access to the connector, we'll need to remove the weather cap. To do that, we'll press in the locking tab and pull it out from the connector.more

Today on our 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, we'll be installing the tow-ready T One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole connector, part number 118531. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and open up the rear cargo door. Then we'll remove the spare tire cover and rear threshold. On this application, the rear threshold is missing some of the fasteners to secure it, so we can just go ahead and pull up on it, releasing the fasteners from underneath. Then we'll set aside and move to the rear quarter panels, where we'll need to remove the rear carpeting to gain access to the rear taillight wiring. By opening the access door, we can see that the wiring is behind the taillight, so now we'll go ahead and remove the fasteners.more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Titan, well be installing the Hopkins Factory style seven and four way flat vehicle end trailer connector, part number n40975. To begin our install, well first locate the manufactures seven-pole wiring located behind the bumper. Well go ahead and pull it down as its just held up there by some tape. Then well remove the end cap by pressing on the locking tab, removing the cap, and discarding it as it will not be reinstalled.Next well need to mount the bracket for our new seven and four pole. Well take our bracket and attach it directly here to the bottom of the bumper using the self-taping screws provided with our install kit. Well go ahead and take the manufactures wiring connect it to the back of the new seven and four pole.more

To start off our install were going ahead an opening up the back hatch. Well go ahead and remove the drivers side taillight; two bolts we have to remove, and then we can go ahead and pop it away from the body. Next, well have to disconnect the electrical. Theres a small red lock that we have to push to unlock it and then theres a small tab located towards the inside of the light that we can push down and release the wire harness from it.more

Today on our 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup, well be installing the Bargman 5th Wheel Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole plug, part number 51-97-411. To begin our install, well first locate in the pickup bed where well be mounting our 7-pole, then using a smaller bit for our pilot hole, once weve located a spot well go ahead and drill our hole. Well go ahead and drill out using the two inch hole saw as recommended per the instructions. Now with the large hole drilled out, well go ahead and feed half of our T-connector through the hole then our other plug followed by the remainder of the wire until our 7-pole mounts flush with the bed. Then using the self-tapping screws provided with our install kit, we can go ahead and secure the 7-pole plug to the bed side. Next well get underneath the vehicle and start routing our wire over to the back of the bumper where the manufacturers wiring meets the bumper. Here at the back of the bumper, well go ahead and disconnect the manufacturers wiring from the back of the 7-pole plug at the bumper.more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty well be installing the Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118554. First to begin our installation well open up the rear cargo door. Well need to remove the fasteners that secure the taillight housing in place. Starting here on the drivers side, well go ahead and remove the two fasteners and then gently pry the taillight housing away from its current position, being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Now well go ahead and remove the taillight assembly by pressing on the locking tab for the connector and removing it from the assembly. Well go ahead and set it aside for reinstallation later.more

Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited well be installing Tow Ready T-1 connector, part number 118416. To begin our install well need to remove the drivers side taillight assembly. Well remove the two inside screws and then pop the taillight assembly out of its position. Here we can gain access to the manufacturers wiring and well disconnect the taillight assembly from the wiring by pressing on the locking tab and pulling the connectors apart. Next, well set the taillight assembly aside and take our Tow Ready Harness and feed it down through the opening and then underneath the foam cover at the bottom of the drivers side quarter panel. This will feed our four pole underneath the vehicle.more

Today in our 2011 Dodge Nitro we'll be installing tow ready T1 connector part number 118554. Our first step of our install will be opening up the rear cargo door or removing the tail light housing on the driver side. To remove the housing or simply use a flat blade screwdriver and full off on the push-pin tabs to secured in the position. Popped it in out of place and setting it aside. Then we'll pop the rear tail light assembly out of place, being careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath. Then go and press on the locking connector for the manufacturers wire in to the back of the tail light assembly and disconnect the tail light assembly and set it aside.more

Today, on this 2006 Kia Sedona, we're going to install Part Number 118410 from Tow Ready. This is our T-One Wiring Harness. To start off our install, we're going to open up the back hatch and then we're going to remove the tail lights. There's three screws in each side and then we can go ahead and remove the tail light by pulling it off to the side. We'll hold the tail lights, so we can see the mounting points on the side, but you can see how the tail lights attach to the vehicle. To disconnect the wire harness, there's a small tab on the wire harness that we push down to release it then we can go ahead and pull it apart.more

This will allow us to see the fasteners to remove the rear taillight housing on both sides. Starting here on the drivers side well go ahead and remove the two fasteners and then pop the taillight out of position. Note: To pop the taillight out of position were going to be using a small plastic pry bar, but you can also use a flat bladed screwdriver just be careful not to chip the paint. Now, once youve popped the taillight out, be careful not to break the alignment tabs underneath.more

To remove the pushpin fastener, well use a pocket screwdriver to press in on the center and then remove the fastener completely. With both fasteners removed well gently pull on the rear threshold unlocking the plastic fasteners underneath.more

It has wires around at the back, but does not have the actual connector, so were going to use this part to finish up the connection, so we can plug in a trailer. All right, first off well go ahead and pull out the wire harness from the vehicle. Now normally this would have a cap, however on this particular vehicle it did not have the cap. Now well take our connector and plug it into it. Well also use some dielectric grease to help protect the leads as well.more

Today on this 2010 Chevy Malibu, well be installing the Tow Ready T1 vehicle wiring harness, part number 118450.To start, well need to open up the rear cargo or trunk. Then well go ahead and take the spare tire cover and push it forward, clearing the lip of the rear threshold.Next well pull up on the rear threshold, unlocking it from its mounting position. Next well need to remove the fastener securing the carpeting behind the drivers side taillight assembly. There are two cargo hooks, theyll need to be unscrewed and two pushpin fasteners that will have to pop out here on the drivers side.Then well go ahead and fold the carpeting out of the way exposing the three plastic wing nuts that secure the taillight assembly in place. Well remove these three wing nuts. Now well go ahead and remove the taillight assembly, simply popping it out of position.more

Today on our 2008 Ford Focus, well be installing the Tow Ready Custom Fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118457.Now to begin our installation, we'll open the trunk. With the trunk open, we'll need to temporarily disconnect the drivers side tail lamp. To do this, we'll undo the two plastic screws here on the drivers side holding in the plastic trim just behind the taillight.Then using some gentle force, we'll pry the trim away where we can move it off to the side. We'll then take a 10 mm socket and remove the two nuts off the taillight studs here.With that done, we'll use a pry tool to pry back on our taillight and remove it from the vehicle. Now this exposes our connector here that we'll T into. Now with our drivers side taillight out, we'll go ahead and repeat the same procedure and remove the passenger side taillight.Now that we have both taillights out, we'll take our new wiring harness and we'll route our four pole and the connector with the green wire to it down underneath the vehicle through the hole here between the body and the bumper cover.more

Well also pull back the weather strip around the door to make things a little easier to get to pry apart the pieces. Well also remove the anchor points that are in the side panels.Once weve got all the pieces away from the vehicle, well go ahead and start installing our wiring. Our first step is to go ahead and install the wires to the socket that will eventually go into the back of the seven pole connector. Well go ahead and install the wires as follows according to the instructions. Our wires just push into place and the individual sockets are labeled, so number one will get the red wire, number two will get the white wire, number three will get the blue wire, and four will get the green wire. Were going to skip to number seven, the yellow wire, and put that in the number seven socket, that way well have room. Five will have the black wire and socket six will have the brown wire.more

All right, now we'll go ahead and remove the liner on each side of the vehicle. There will be two fasteners that we need to remove as well and then we can go ahead and pull back the liner, and then we can see our connection point for our T1 connector.more

First, we'll open up the rear cargo door on our trunk and then we'll need to access the wiring behind the tail lights. To remove the rear threshold, we'll gently pry out on the bottom and then pull up, popping all the fasteners free from the sheet metal. Next, we'll go ahead and remove the pushpin fasteners securing the carpet behind the tail lights. Now, we can pull the carpet away.more

Today on our 2009 Kia Optima, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Trailer Connector, Part Number 118433. First, we'll go ahead and open up the rear cargo or trunk door. There are also two push pin fasteners holding the carpeting, behind the tail light assemblies that we'll remove, then we can start by removing the rear threshold. There's a total of three fasteners that'll need to be removed. Now with those five fasteners removed, we'll go ahead and lift up on the spare tire cover and remove the rear threshold. Keep in mind there are plastic fasteners still securing it to the sheet metal, you still need to pop it through.more

Today on this 2008 Pontiac G6, were going to install part number 118439 from Tow Ready. All right to start off our install, we need to get inside a trunk area and remove the carpeting by the taillights. Once we get access to this taillight, we can go ahead and move the hardware forward taillights and then we can completely remove the taillights. Once we have our driver side taillight loose, well pull up on the tab located here so we can separate the electrical connector and then we can go ahead and remove the taillight. Were done with the driver side; lets repeat the same process over on the passenger side. Well go ahead and take our four pole wire and run down between the bumper cover and the body.more

Today on our 2003 Cadillac Escalade well be installing the Tow Ready custom fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118384. With our vehicle equipped with a pigtail well simply go ahead and take the end of the pigtail, press on the locking tab and remove the cap. Now well bring in our Tow Ready custom fit wiring harness, plugged directly into the manufacturers connector. Then well take the cap that we just removed from the manufacturers wiring and plug into the other end of our T connector. Now we can go ahead and route our wire along the hitch and out behind the bumper. Next well go ahead and take some zip ties and secure the wiring to the hitch and behind the bumper, and well take a pair of side cutters, cut off any excess from our zip tie.more

Today on this 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, were going to install part number 118534. To start off our install were going to open up the back hatch and were going to remove the two taillights. Our two screws that we have to remove and then well pop them loose on the body and then well go ahead and remove the wire harness from the taillight. Theres a small red lock we have to push to unlock it and then a tab that we have to push to release it from the taillight and we can pull it apart. Well set our driver side taillight to the side and do the same thing on the passenger side.Now we can go ahead and start installing the wire harness. First off well take the four pole end and well route it between the body work and the bumper cover going down to the bottom.more

Today on our 2012 Toyota Rav4, well be installing the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part number 118412. Now to being our installation well go ahead and open the rear cargo door where well need to remove the carpet as well as the floor from the cargo area. With that done well remove the rear threshold here. After using a little effort to get the threshold undone, well go ahead and set it off to the side for reinstallation later. We can then go ahead and remove the forward panel here on the floor. With that done, well undo screws holding the forward panel in place where we can then pry it up out of the way, again setting it off to the side for reinstallation later. Well now move onto the side panels.more

Today on our 2003 Cadillac Escalade, well be installing the Hopkins Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 7 and 4 Pole, part number HM40975. This will be in conjunction with the Draw-Tite No Drill Mounting Bracket, part number 18136. First lets go ahead and identify the manufactures wiring that well be using. As you can see, its bundled up here behind the bumper against the frame. Well go ahead and untie it and run it down to the hitch. Now for this application we want the wire to go over the hitch, so Im going to go ahead and loosen up the hitch enough to get the wire connector over the top of the hitch and between the bumper.more

Today on our 2008 Mercury Mariner we'll be installing the tow package wiring harness with four pole trailer connector from Draw-Tite, part number 118251. Now we'll be installing this in conjunction with the four terminal relays, part number TR38665. To being we'll go ahead and install our four pole harness. Underneath the vehicle here on the drivers side at the read bumper we'll go ahead and locate the factory plug here. Now we'll need to remove the covering from the plug so we'll go ahead and detach it from the body of the vehicle and unplug the harness. Now that we've exposed the plug we can take our new four pole and clip it into the plug here on our factory harness.more

Today on our 2007 Chevy Silverado we'll be installing the Bargman fifth wheel goose neck 90 degree wiring harness, part number 51-97-410. First we'll go ahead and select a location for mounting our new seven pole connector. Here in the truck bed on the drivers side just behind the wheel well is a great spot. Before we drill out the large hole we'll go ahead and use a smaller bit to create a pilot hole then check underneath to make sure we have plenty of room to feed our wiring inside once we drill it out. Now that we've done our checks we'll go ahead and drill it out using the larger bit recommended in the instructions. Now with the larger hole drilled out we'll go ahead and take the end of our wiring and feed it through the hole and down underneath our vehicle.more

Now on most applications they'll be push pin fasteners that will need to be removed, however for this application they're missing. We'll go ahead and remove the center cargo tray.more

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 dual rear wheel, we'll be installing the Pollak fifth wheel goose neck T-connector with seven pull, part number PK11893-11932. First, we'll go ahead and locate a suitable location for our new seven pull connector. Here, just behind the rear wheel on the driver's side is a common position. Go ahead and locate the area, check underneath to make sure there are no obstructions, and then we'll go ahead and use a small pilot hole and drill it out. This will allow us to again get underneath and double check where the pilot hole location is and correspond it's where our seven pull connector will be. With that done, we can now go ahead and take the hole saw and cut out the larger hole to fit the seven pull connector.more

Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, were going to install part number, 118555 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is go ahead and open up the trunk and remove the threshold panel. To remove our threshold we need to remove the liner at the bottom and then well pull out the four plastic rivets. Then well pull them straight from the bottom, you loosen it up, and then pull from the top. Now go ahead and remove the plastic rivets from our liner going towards the corners, towards the wiring for the taillights. Okay we have our driver side loosened up and well repeat the same process over on the passenger side.more

Alright, today on this 2004 Buick Rendezvous well going to install part number 41405 from Hopkins. This is a wiring harness that plugs in to the factory towing port. First, well go ahead and locate the port. Its underneath the vehicle, on the driver side, above the suspension in the corner by the bumper. Well go ahead and use a trim panel tool to remove it from the sheet metal underneath then well go ahead and remove the cap. Theres a small tab we need to pull up then it comes right apart.Now well take our new wiring harness, well add some dielectric grease that comes with it to the terminal then well go ahead and snap it into place.more
