Curt Balls C40001 Review- Video

Today, we're reviewing Part Number C40001 from Curt. This is 1-7/8 inch diameter hitch ball with a short shank and a capacity of 2,000 pounds. This ball has a nice, shiny chrome finish that will resist rust and corrosion. And as you can see, it has wrench flats on two sides making it easier to install. The shank length is 1-1/2 inches and the shank diameter is 3/4 of an inch. This hitch ball does come with a 1-1/8 inch nut and lock washer that you need for installation.more

Today we're reviewing part number C40041. This is the Curt Trailer Hitch Ball with a 2-5/16" diameter and a medium shank. The towing capacity is 30,000 lbs. This hitch ball has a raw machine finish, and it does include your wrench flats to help you with your installation. The shank measures (see if we can do it this way, here we go) 2-5/8" in length, and 1-1/4" in diameter. This fits draw bars from 3/4" to 1" thick.more

Convert-A-Ball Balls 902B Review- Video

Today were going to review part number 902B. This is the Convert-A-Ball interchangeable ball set; contains three different hitch ball sizes and a shank. The shank is a solid stainless steel one-inch diameter shank; comes with a three different size hitch ball the 2 5/16, the two-inch and the 1 7/8 and they all are stamped on the top with the size of the hitch ball. This is a nice item to have if youre towing different size trailer couplers. Youd be able to change out your hitch ball size for another ball size very easy. You just pop out the integrated pin that is on the hitch ball and then replace with any size hitch ball unto the shank.more

Today were to review part number 900B. This is the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set. This ball set will come with a chrome, one-inch diameter long shank, comes with a three hitch balls, a 1 7/8-inch which is usually marked right on the top, the two-inch which should be marked there and the largest 2 5/16. This does have a 10,000 pound gross towing rate capacity. It is corrosion and rust-resistant and what this does is it makes changing out your Convert-A-Ball hitch balls with another ball size very easy; you just pop out the pin like that pin there and you replace it with any ball size that youre going to be towing. It includes the shank and the three heavy-duty balls.more

Today we're going to review Part # 901B. This is the Convert-A-Ball interchangeable ball set. This ball set will contain a chrome 1 inch diameter shank. It will contain 2 hitch balls, one a 2 inch diameter, another 1 7/8 inch diameter. It does contain the 1 1/2 inch nut and washer that is used to tighten the shank to the ball mount. It also comes with the cotter pin which one is tighten down will slide through the hole and then attach to keep the nut in place.more

Today we're going to review Part #800B, this the Convert-A-Ball interchangeable ball set. This ball set will come with a chrome, 3/4 inch diameter shank. Its comes with the two hitch balls, one is 1 7/8 inch which is marked right on top and the other is a 2 inch which is also marked on top of the hitch ball. It comes with the nut which is use as a 1 1/8 inch wrench and washer and that is used to attached the shank to your ball mount and it also comes with a cotter pin that will actually slide through after you get it tight into where you want it and the cotter pin would be installed to keep the nut from coming off. This has a 3500 lb. gross towing rate capacity.more

The diameter of the ball itself is 2 inches, so it will work with all 2 inch trailer couplers. The shank on the ball is ¾ inch diameter and it is 1 and 9/16th inches long. Draw-Tite Trunnion Style Weight Distribution Kit Installation- Video

This part is good for 1,200 pounds tongue weight and 12,000 pounds trailer weight. Before we start we need to take care of a few preliminary steps, first its good to get the trailer in line at a nice level spot then take it apart and get some measurements off of it and well show you what measurements you need. The first measurements we need are on the truck itself. Were going to measure from the top of the wheel well down to the ground. The reason for these measurements is to make sure we get the truck back to its original height or as close as possible. Finally we need the coupler height with the trailer level on the ground. Just to make sure we need to measure from the ground to the top of the wheel well. On the front wheel we have 39-1/2 inches, and at the rear axle we have 41-1/2inches. from the ground to the top of the coupler we have about 23 inches. more
