Today we are reviewing part number 40330 from Draw Tite. This is a forged one piece ball mount with a one inch rise or a two inch drop. The towing capacity is 16,000 pounds and the towing rate capacity is up to 2,400 pounds. As you can see it has a drop of two inches from the top of the shank to the ball mount platform and it has a rise of one inch from the top of the shank to the ball mount platform. Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Hidden Hitch ball mount 4-3/4 rise or a 6 drop at 6,000 pounds, part number 80240. To begin our test fit we need to measure our hitch height, this is from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube, we have about 13-1/2. Now well go ahead and install our ball mount, well do this in the drop position first. Well go ahead and take the shank of our ball mount and put it into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up the hitch pin hole and then thread in the 5/8 hitch, pin and clip.With the ball mount in the dropped position, we get a measurement of 7 and this is from the ground to the top of the ball platform. Make sure were measuring your trailer height, you so when your trailer is level, measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler, if your measurement matches ours than this will be a great fit for you.Now we can take our ball mount out, flip it over to the rise position, in this position well get a measurement of 18.more

Today were going to take a look at the Brophy Class 2 Drawbar, number BM96. This class 2 hitch drawbar fits 1 inch class 2 receiver style hitches and uses a ball with a 3 inch shank diameter. Going to take some measurements here. The measurement from the support gusset to the center of the pinhole is three inches. It has a rise of 5 inches and thats measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform and you can see there 5 inches. It also has a drop of six inches again from the top of the shank to the top of the mounting platform and it has a distance of 7 inches from the center of the pinhole to the center of the ball hole here.more

This is a big one when you include the double hitch ball with the shank, youve got about 32 pounds and as you can see here, that is a solid metal shank. Has a built in anti-rattle device which you can see here and Ill show you in just a bit how thats used. It has a powder coat finish for durability. It fits two inch trailer hitch receivers and taking a look at some measurements here, from the mounting edge to the end of the shank is about 12 inches. Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount with 10 Inch Drop Review - 2012 Honda Odyssey- Video

Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount for two inch hitches with eight and three quarter inch rise, 14 inch drop rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMSC10. Before we begin our test fit well first need to determine the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. We get a measurement of 11 inches. To begin our test fit, in the rise position, well slide the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through the pin holes and secure the clip on the other side. Well then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and well get a measurement of 19 inches.more

Swagman XP Towing Hitch Bike Rack Review- Video

Today well be reviewing the Swagman XP folding three bike towing rack for two inch hitches, part number S64955. To begin our review with our bike carrier already assembled well first begin with the installation. Normally well load the bike on the cradles closest to the vehicle, but for todays demonstration purposes we will be loading the bike on the end cradles so you can see the function of the bike rack. In order to use this bike carrier you will need a ball mount with an extended shank that is a minimum of 10 inches from the hitch pin hole to the ball mount platform. With that being said well use part number 80233 to begin our installation. Well slide the ball mount through the bottom end of the carrier and slide the shank of the ball mount into our hitch.more

Hidden Hitch Extra-Long Ball Mount Review- Video

Today we'll be reviewing Hidden Hitch's extra, extra long ball mount with a 2 inch rise or 4 inch drop, rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 80233. This ball mount fits 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers and uses a ball with a 1 inch shank diameter. It measures 10 inches from the center of the hitch pinhole to the closest part of the weld in the ball mount platform. The ball mount is rated up to 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight and up to 600 pounds tongue weight. The extra, extra long shank of the ball mount is designed for vehicles who's hitches are way back behind the bumper.
