Firestone Coil-Rite Air Springs with Work-Rite Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Dodge Ram- Video

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup we'll be installing the Firestone Coil Rite Air Springs with Work Rite Helper Spring Kit, part number f4190. To begin our installation we'll need to deflate both airbags. To do this we'll take a small piece of air tube and connect it to the airbag. We can then deflate the airbag where we'll take the inflation valve slide it over the air tube with the airbag deflated. This will keep the airbag deflated and allow us to install it into our spring.We'll then push the air spring up into the coil spring by hand. You may need to use a blunt tool making sure that it doesnt have any sharp edges or corners as this could damage the air spring.more

Thule AeroBlade Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Ford Fusion- Video

Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Rack System using part numbers tharb53, th480r and thkit1529. Now we've already gone ahead and pre-assembled our roof rack system according to the instructions found within the Fit Kit. We'll begin our test fit by taking the front crossbar placing it on top of our roof where we'll need to do a measurement.We'll measure back form the edge of our windshield eight inches. This will be the location of the leading edge of our crossbar foot. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle to ensure that the feet are in the correct position according to Thule as well as that the crossbar is perpendicular with the vehicle's roof.We can then work back and forth using the included torque tool found within each foot to tighten down our feet to the roof line of the vehicle. Now remember you may need to open the doors in order to allow the clamp to fall into the door opening as this is where it clamps down.more

Thule AeroBlade Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Hyundai Sonata- Video

Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we'll be installing a Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack. We'll be using the 53 inch AeroBlade bars, part number tharb53, the Rapid Traverse Feet, part number th480r and the Fit Kit for our vehicle, part number thkit1577. To install the roof rack the first thing we need to do is open the front doors on both the passenger and driver side. Once we've done that well take the bar and set it up on top of the roof and use the instructions to properly measure and space the bar on the vehicle.To position the front bar we need to measure 13 3/8 of an inch from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of the Rapid Traverse Foot. We'll do this on both the passenger and driver side. With the front bar in position we'll use the included AcuTight wrenches to tighten it down according to the instructions.more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2005 GMC Sierra- Video

Today, on a 2005 GMC Sierra, were going to be installing Hopkins Flex-Mount brake control, part number hm47297. In conjunction with Hopkins direct fit brake control adapter which is part number hm47795.To begin our install, were going to mount the Flex-Mount display unit here in the center console. First, well remove the center console trays and route the wire up through the pre-drilled hole in there. Well follow the 12-volt power supply back down through the console. Then, well zip tie the wire to the 12-volt power supply wires to secure it in place, cut off the excess from the zip-tie and re-install the panel.Then, well secure the Flex display in place using double sided tape. Now, to install the Flex control system were going to mount it on the side of the center console, that way its easy to access all of the different controls as well as the manual override.more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Thule Rapid Crossroads roof rack system, using part numbers THARB53 and TH450R. Now to begin our test fit, we've already gone ahead and assembled the cross bars according to the instructions, so we'll start by placing the front cross bar on top of our factory-raised side rails. Now we'll want to make sure that the rubber-coated steel strap goes underneath the side rail, as this is how the foot attaches to it. We'll now take a measurement from a fixed location on the side rail. We'll do this on both sides of the vehicle to ensure that the cross bar is perpendicular with the side rail, making it easier to load your accessories. We can then take the included Allen tool found within each foot and tighten down the Allen bolt securing our cross bar to the vehicle.more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Caravan, we'll be installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller, part number 90885. Note, this vehicle has already had an ETBC7 brake controller installation kit installed, so we'll be connecting to it and mounting our brake controller. So to begin our install, we'll take the pocket from our brake controller and install the pocket onto the dash. We'll be installing it on the kick panel to the passenger side of the steering wheel. We'll use the hardware provided with our install kit to secure it. Next, we'll take the wiring harness from the brake controller and secure it to the vehicle.more

Today were reviewing part number C80151 from Curt. This is a set of single hook coiled safety cables with an s-hook at one end and a loop at the other. Theyre made of braided stainless steel. I dont know how closely you can see that, but its heavy duty stainless steel. The s-hook itself is coated with zinc so thats going to be corrosion resistant, and it also has a keeper right there that will keep it from popping off of your tow bar. The coiled safety cable has a nylon coating so that will keep it from scratching your car, scratching the paint.more

Today on our 2010 Toyota Tacoma, with tire size 245 7516, well be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains part number PW 1046.Now, to begin our test bit, well need to lay the chains out on the ground and make sure that we get any kinks or knots out of the chains themselves. With that done, we can then drape our chains over the tire, making sure that the labeling here on the cross chain hook that says tire side faces the tire. Another good indication is to make sure that the hook of the chain faces out. Now that our chains are draped over our tire and centered in the tire tread, well work our way down to the 6 oclock position here on the inside of the tire, where we can connect the two ends of the side chain together, taking up as much of the slack within the chain as possible. We can then move to the outside of the tire, where well take the two ends of the outside chain and hook them together, again, taking up as much of the slack as possible. Now, when taking up the slack, youll want to make sure that you stay within one link of the chain on either side.more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Jeep Patriot- Video

Today on our 2014 Jeep Patriot, were going to be test fitting the Thule roof rack system. Well be using the 53 Aero Blade load bars, part number tharb53, as well as the Rapid Crossroad foot pack, part number th450r. We already have our load bars assembled according to the instructions, so now were ready to mount them on top of our vehicle. Since this set is designed to work with vehicles of factory way side rails, there are no set positioning measurements.Well set the first bar up on top of our way side rails. We need to make sure that the front bar is running perpendicular to our way side rails, so in order to do this we can line it up with the marked indicators that are on the side rails of our Jeep Patriot. Once weve done that, well fit our rubber coated steel straps around the side rails and tighten them down with the included tool.more
