The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. Both of the end caps do come with knock outs which you can replace with the Yakima same key system so you can actually utilize this with your Yakima accessories and make everything key alike. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We have our rear bar partially assembled on our table here, and our next step is to install our base tower to the other end of our bar. So we'll take our baseline tower, take this plastic adapter piece, and that gets pushed on the top here till you hear a couple clicks. Then we'll take our round bar adapter, place that, line up with the screw, then we'll come around to the front of the baseline tower, pull this portion out so we can see the screw that we need to tighten down with our included tool. more
