Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount with 2 Inch Drop Review - 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe - Video
Today on our 2013 Chevy Tahoe well be test fitting the Convert-a-ball cushioned ball mount for 2-inch hitches with a 3/4-inch rise or a 2-inch drop rated at 10,000 pounds, part number amsc2. Now before we begin our test fit we will first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle which is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube, and we get a measurement of 24 inches. Now to begin our test fit in the drop position well slide the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through our pin holes, and secure it with the clip on the other side. Well now measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and well get a measurement of 22 inches. Well then flip the ball mount over into the rise position and measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform, and well get a measurement of 25 inches. When choosing a ball mount you will first need to determine your trailers ride height which is the measurement from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. more

Today on our 2013 Chevy Tahoe well be test fitting the 23 x 56 Railed Cargo Carrier from Rola for 2-inch hitches part number 59502. Now to begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through our pin holes, and secure with the clip on the other side. Now with the carrier secured to the vehicle well go over a few clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and this vehicle will fit together. The ground clearance here at the back of the carrier is 25 inches. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 11 inches. Weve added a total of 34 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

To begin our test fit well start out on the second row. Well go ahead and remove our old floor mats and install our Husky liners. One of the great features of these liners are the channels that run to help trap and keep debris and different kinds of materials from harming or even getting on to your carpet. Well also look on the underside of the liner and see that it has these special nibs that grab into the carpet without harming it to hold it into place. These liners really fit the contour of our vehicle very well as they are custom molded to fit our vehicle. more

To begin our test fit we'll start off by sliding the carrier on to the vehicle. We'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our ant-rattle bolt through the pins and tighten with a wrench.Now with the cargo carrier secured to the vehicle we'll go over a few clearance measurements. For the back of the carrier there is about 22 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about four inches. We have added 23 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

Today we're going to do a test fit of part number hl82281 from Husky Liners. This is a Weather Beater custom auto floor line for the front center hump on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado. Now working with the black color this is also available as tan is part number hl82283 and gray is part number hl82282.To start our test fill we'll go ahead and lay it in place. If there are any pre-existing liners we would want to go ahead and remove them. Now that we've put in place you can see its custom molded to match the vehicle. You can see ion the passenger side how it wraps a little further up and on the driver's side it wraps around support and matches the contour of the floor.We'll pull up one side and look under. more

WeatherTech Front Floor Mats Review - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado - Video
Today we're going to review the Weathertech All Weather Floor Mats, part number wtw72gr, gray in color on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. They also come in black as part number wtw72 and tan as part number wtw72tn. Let's go ahead and begin our test fit. We'll start on the driver's side. As you will see the mat slides in under the pedals and contours around the edge of the door.You'll also notice how the anti-skid ridges under the mat help hold it in place with the carpet. There are also deep channels that help move the dirt and debris towards the back of the mat keeping it away from your feet. more

Whispbar Flush Bar Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be test fitting the Whispbar Flush Bar Roof Rack using part number wb-s25 and part number wb-k624. To begin our test fit weve already gone ahead and assembled our crossbars according to the instructions found within the Fit Kit. The initial setup does take a little bit of time but after that it's locked into place and they can be removed and reinstalled very easily.We'll now begin by installing the studs that will hold our Whispbars in place. On the roof rack here we'll remove the torques bolts that hold the rail onto the vehicle. We're going to go ahead and remove the first bolt toward the front here on the passenger side rail. With that bolt removed we'll take that stud included with the Whispbars as well as the lock nut and the nylon washer and start it into the hole here on our roof.Once we've got pretty of thread in the hole on the roof we can then take the lock nut and lock it down using the included wrench. more

WeatherTech Bug Shield Installation - 2011 Ford Ranger - Video
Today on our 2011 Ford Ranger we're going to install the Weathertech Bug Shield, part number wt50122. To begin with you may want to go ahead and clean the front edge of the hood b because once the bug shields on it may be a little difficult to clean underneath it. Let's begin by raising the hood' you'll notice there's a rubber strip at the front edge of the hood. There are three small fasteners as well as some adhesive that holds this strip to the hood.You'll need to remove this before the installation of the bug shield. You can usually get your fingers underneath and just pop them out. For the adhesive it works best to not scratch the hood-you can slide your finger along it slowly pulling on the weather stripping piece and it will slowly pull off. more

Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch Installation - 2012 Polaris 500 Sportsman - Video
Today on our 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 we'll be installing the Superwinch LT2000 2,000 Pound 12-Volt DC Electric Winch. This is part number 1120210. Now with this winch we'll also need to use a mount kit, part number 2202900 for this Polaris. We're going to go ahead and mount our winch to the mounting kit first. Now we'll need to identify the top of the mount plate. This is easily done by locating the cutout here on the angled part of the mount plate.As we install the winch into the mount plate we'll ensure that the cable spools off the top of the drum and that this cutout is on the top side of the bracket. more

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado - Video
Today on this 2008 Chevrolet Silverado were going to install part number 9465-54. This is a Hide-a-goose hitch. To start off our install we went ahead and removed the two rear wheels to make access to the side brackets a little bit easier. We also lowered the spare tire as well. Starting on the drivers side of our frame, theres a cable bracket which holds the brake line to the inside of the frame rail. Well go ahead and loosen this bracket from the top of the frame rail and then remove it completely from the wiring harness and the brake line. more

Firestone Level Command II Installation - 2012 Dodge Ram - Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup we'll be installing the Firestone Level Command 2 Single Gauge with Standard Duty Compressor, part number f2158. To begin our installation we'll need to install the compressor. We'll find a good location to mount our compressor. We're going to go ahead and use some self-tapping screws to install it onto the frame.This will keep our compressor secured as well as protected from any foreign objects underneath that may pass underneath the truck. Firestone Coil-Rite Air Springs with Work-Rite Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Dodge Ram - Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram Pickup we'll be installing the Firestone Coil Rite Air Springs with Work Rite Helper Spring Kit, part number f4190. To begin our installation we'll need to deflate both airbags. To do this we'll take a small piece of air tube and connect it to the airbag. We can then deflate the airbag where we'll take the inflation valve slide it over the air tube with the airbag deflated. This will keep the airbag deflated and allow us to install it into our spring.We'll then push the air spring up into the coil spring by hand. You may need to use a blunt tool making sure that it doesnt have any sharp edges or corners as this could damage the air spring. more

Well go ahead and pry those out of our way. Now in the cup where the jounce stop was were going to have to drill an access hole for an air line. Well drill out a 1/8inch pilot hole first, and then well go ahead and drill it out to 5/16. more

Edge Insight CS Guage Display Installation - 1999 Dodge Ram - Video
Today on our 99 Dodge 2500 we'll be installing the Edge Insight CS, part number ep83730. In conjunction with the Edge Insight CS we will also be installing the accessory the Dash Pod which is part number ep38303. In this particular vehicle you'll notice that the customer already has a dash cover on it. We'll need to do some modifications to the dash cover for the Dash Pod to fit properly.We'll need to go ahead and first connect the three tabs that are supplied to the backside of the Dash Pod. They're numbered one, two and three and you will need to match up the tabs with one, two and three on the back of the Dash Pod. Now before you stick the tabs onto the Dash Pod we will use an alcohol swab to go ahead and clean the back of the Dash Pod to make sure the adhesive sticks properly.Once you've used the alcohol swab to go ahead to clean the back of the Dash Pod off you'll go ahead and pull the adhesive backing off of each of the tabs and stick them on the correlating numbers. more

Today we will be installing our Cargoglide Sliding Tray on our 2009 Dodge Ram Quad Cab, part number cg1500xl-7548. To begin with you will want to clean the bed of your truck out. Next, youll want to position the cargo slider in the bed of the truck and youll want to center it between the wheel wells, as well as setting it about a half inch from the front of the bed. You will want to get the help of at least three other friends to help you set this unit into the bed of your truck. You will notice that the feet on this particular unit all bolt on the outside of the rails, and all of the locations are on the top section of the bed rib. Now that you see where the bolts will be drilled through, youll want to look under the bed and make sure there will be nothing in the way when you drill through. more

Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2002 Ford Escape - Video
Today on our 2002 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Forklift Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number y02098. Our Escape is equipped with a full factory roof rack so we're going to mount our Forklift directly to the factory crossbars. To do this we'll remove the skewer from the head of the bike rack first.We'll open up the clamp at the head of the bike rack and fit it around our crossbar then we'll tighten it down with the T-bolt and wing nut. Next we'll slide the cover back into place and then we can reinstall our skewer. At the back we'll need to slide the clamp over our rear crossbar and again we'll tighten it down with a T-bolt and wing nut. Now we're ready to load our bike.We'll pick our bike up and place the wheel into the wheel tray and place the front fork down into our skewer. more

Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2002 Ford Escape - Video
Today on our 2002 Ford Escape we're going to be test fitting the Thule Domestique Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number th513. To mount the carrier to our roof rack we'll set it up on top of our load bars. We'll fit the head of the bike rack over our front load bar. We'll fit the bottom clamp around the bottom of our load bar and use the included Allen key to tighten down the Allen head bolts.At the rear of the carrier we'll fit the clamp around our rear load bar and use the Allen key to tighten it down as well. Once we've done that we can take our skewer and reinstall it. Now our bike rack is loaded and we're ready to load. more

Today on our 2012 Land Rover Evoque, well be test fitting the Surco 24X60 Rail Cargo Carrier for 20 Inch Hitches, part number 52018. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, well line up our pinholes and secure the cargo carrier to our Land Rover with the pin and clip. Now with our Surco 24X60 cargo carrier secured to our Land Rover Evoque, well go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. We have about 10 inches of ground clearance at the rear of the carrier. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 2 inches and weve added about 28 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. Now this particular model does have dual exhaust that point directly inline to the cargo carrier about 6 inches away therefore I would use caution when carrier heat sensitive materials on your cargo carrier. more

Today, on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, well be test fitting the Yakima Q-Tower Roof Rack System using Part Number Y00409, Y00683 and Y00124. Because we need four for this vehicle, well actually be using two of the Y00683s.Now, to begin our test fit, weve already gone ahead and set up our roof rack system according to the instructions found within the fit kit. To begin, by placing the front crossbar over our roof, where well take a measurement. Well measure from the edge of the windshield back on the roof, 13 inches. This will be the location of the leading edge of our crossbar tower. Well do this on both sides of the vehicle, giving us the proper location for the front cross bar.We can now work back and forth with the clamps, clamping it to the roof of our Sonata. more
