Installation of a Wiring Harness on a 2007 Chrysler 300 Touring Edition
First thing we need to do is access the trunk area. Lift up the back flap here and remove the rear threshold piece, there are four pop rivets holding it in place. We pull back the threshold on the passenger side, it will reveal the connection point for the wiring harness. Once we locate the connection point we want to flip back this red tab, which is holding it in place, and push the button down on the topside and pull the connectors apart. This time we want to take the t wiring harness and plug it into this.
The next step is to find a suitable grounding point for the connector. We going to go ahead and drill a hole here into the metal. Once weve drilled the hole we want to attach the ground loop with the screw to the middle. Once weve connected the passengers side well move to the drivers side and get behind the tail light assembly as well and pull back the threshold. Once weve located the connection plate on the drivers side, you push the red tab, push the topside button and connect the T harness into place. Once all your connections are made, all you need to do is put your interior back together and your wiring harness itself is going to come out through this piece right here. Just leave it hanging in your trunk area right here, and just pull it out when necessary for use.
