Installation of a Wiring Harness on a 2007 Chevy Aveo

Now we are going to install a circuit protector modulite on a 2007 Chevy Aveo. To access the wiring, we need to take off two panels; this inside panel here in the trunk and this inside panel here on the side. This will access our wiring back in the corner here. We will access the wiring at two points, on the left hand circuit and this wire bundle will go to the right hand circuit. We will tap it in here and here for clarity.

First we will go ahead and look for our running light circuit. Alright, that tells us that that is our running light circuit. We will attach our brown wire to that. Next we will find our left turn signal. So we know blue is left turn, so we will attach our yellow left wire to that. Next is the right turn signal. So we know dark blue is right turn, so we will run our green wire to that. Now we have to find our stop light circuit. You need to hold down on the brake pedal to look for that. Alright, we know that is our stop light circuit. We hook up our stop light red wire to that. All that remains is that we just go ahead and ground our wire to the body. We take our ground wire and we will ground it to the body right here so there is not an outside body part.

All we need to do next is just the end of the plug here to make sure everything is working. And we need our running lights and the left turn and your right turn and hit the brakes. This should be on and this should be on. Alright, our test works out OK and all we have to do is just put our components back together and we are good to go. Once you have everything back together, what is nice about keeping the plug in the trunk is it does not get corroded, it does not get wet. If you need to use it, you simply just open up the trunk, pull it out, and shut the trunk on it, keep it away from the latch and you will be good to go.
