Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring
This Product Fits The Following Vehicles
2005 - 2007 Ford Escape
We are going to install this on a 2005 Ford Escape. To begin your install take off the tail lights. First thing we do is open the tailgate and take off the screws that hold the tail light in. Go ahead and leave this loose for now. Then go ahead and do the same to the other side. Have the t-connectorer ready. Begin our install on a t-connector. Basically start with the left turn signal, you can tell by the lense. Go ahead and take of the socket that holds it in place. Pop that out, there is a little bit of mosture in there. So it is a good idea to go ahead and put a little diaelectric grease in there. Once you added some diaelectrice grease in there. Go ahead and snap your t-one connector into the slot. Make sure you are going the right way and snap it into place, making sure it clicks. Push the other half back to the taillight houseing. Do the samething for the top here for your running light and stoplight circuit. That is this lense here. We allready got them lose. And then we need to install your ground screw securely to the vehicle frame.
Next we are going to drop the four pole down inbetween the vehicle body and also the lead going to the other side. You can either a: go down the vehicle and pass it underneither the vehicle or b: accross the back under the plastic trim of the vehilce. We are going to pass it under the plastic trim of the vehicle. Tuck it behind the plastic here. At this point we can go ahead and reattach the our taillight, we don't need it dangling any more.
At this point we can go around the plastic trim and losen the all the fitings around the trim. You can also take off the trim here to make it a little easier to push the wire under the trim. Us a screw driver to pull the plastic back a little bit and push the wire behind it at the same time. Loosen this one too. Once you have it the way you want, go ahead and tighten everything back up. Go ahead and take our right turn signal apart. And take any excess and zip tie it to itself and we can reinstall this light.
Ok at this point we will go back under the vehicle and tie up the wires and the converter box. There is a nice flat spot we can attach the convert box using double sided tape. We are going to go ahead and wipe down this spot really well and attach the converter box. And we will run our wires accross behind some brackets. Then loop this around the chain loop and take the excess and zip tie it behind the bumper. You don't want it to tight, incase you need to pull some extra out, then you have a little bit of lee way. And there you have it for part number 30130 by Valley on an 2005 Ford Escape.
