Installation of a Wiring Harness on a 2003 Chrysler Pacifica

Today we are going to install part number 118303 from Tow Ready. We are going to install this on a 2003 Chrysler Pacifica. Our first step is to go ahead and open up the tailgate and then remove the tail lights from the vehicle. These tabs can be loosened up and then we disconnect the tail light. Then go ahead and repeat for the other side. Next what we have to get to is the power lead for the wireless harness. That is hidden behind the grommet here. It is this red wire right here. We are going to run the connector from the inside and put a simple slit in the grommet here that way. Then you may go ahead and put a slit in the grommet. Then we go ahead and put our wiring the passenger side and it down behind the bumper in the body. Just let that go all the way through. We will route that on the bottom of the vehicle to the other side. We will also put the 4 pole down into and through the body as well. Then we will go ahead and hook up our power lead. Now we hook up our connectors like the one between the tail light and the wiring harness. Then go ahead and connect the tail light. Push those red tabs so that they lock back into place.

Next we will move under the vehicle to mount the converter box. Once you mount the converter. There is a steel plate or flange back here that you can clean it up and stick the converter box to it. The adhesive tape will hold it into place. Make sure you clean off the area to get rid of dirt or grime so the tape fully sticks. When you are ready to stick it just peel off the plastic and press it hard into the side of your vehicle. Then we will route the passenger side wire behind the bumper and across to the other side. While you are underneath the car it is good to idea to run the 4 pole flat the way you want it as well. Again we will just follow the same route with the same wire going across. Then we will tie it off near the hitch. Alright we will go ahead and hook up the passenger side. Same way as the drivers. Push them together and make sure you push the red tab to lock them into place. Then go ahead and take your slack and zip tie it to your wiring harness. Now we can go ahead and re install our tail light. All that remains is installing the fuse in the fuse panel up front to power the hot lead. Then we should be good to go. We just need to install our fuse and this is looking from the right to the left the 5th one over. There you have it for re installation of part number 118303 from Tow Ready.
