Installation of a Wiring Harness on a 2005 Kia Sorrento
Today we are going to install part number 118307 on our 2005 Kia Sorrento. Installing the part is pretty simple. There is actually a port for a towing package on the passenger side frame rail, right here, and all you have to do basically is pull off the cap and push this little button in and the cap comes out. The T1 connector connector actually just plugs right back in there. At this point you just route the T1 how ever you want, tie off the converter box in a safe location. Then just run your wires out to your hitch. It looks like a good spot actually is right above the spare tire rack here. So what we will do is just put it to the top of it right here. Make sure you have plenty of room with your spare tire. Then we will run our zip tie across the top of it and through the wires. The next thing we can do is run our wire to the other side and we will just bundle it up and just go ahead and zip tie it to the top of the hitch here. That would be safe and out of the way. Get yourself so extra long zip ties and just run it across with one on each side. At this point you can mount your 4 pole connector to a bracket that will mount to your factory bracket on the hitch. Then you just simply zip tie it in place or add a different type of connector for here. That concludes our install of part number 118307 from Tow Ready, the T1 connector.
