On this 2008 Nissan Armada we are going to install part number 118384 from Tow Ready. This wiring harness will use the factory port that is location behind the bumper approximately right here. Unsnap it from its clip, take off the cap, and install our Tow Ready part. :18
Our Tow Ready part has two halves, which is designed to fit in between the factory 7-pole that is already installed, but you can use it one side or the other. We will take this side and snap it together, and then take the cap and put it on this side. Then we will route our 4-pole where we want it and then use zip ties to hold everything in place. :42
We are done with the back of the vehicle. With most Nissan models is we have to add some relays that are underneath the hood. We will go up there next. Underneath the hood we are going to install some relays using part number, C57000 from Curt. To install our relays we will have to get to this box right here. These three sockets are what handles the Tow Package. These two sockets will get the blue relays and this will get the brown one. That will activate the Tow Package, and it should be ready to roll. There you have it for part number 118384 from Tow Ready and C57000 from Curt.

All 2009 Armadas built for sale in the U.S. should have that plug underneath. It may be tucked above the spare tire. If you do not have the factory tow prep package, you will also need to add the relays, part # C57000.
Patrick B - 12/12/2012Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2005 Nissan Armada

Today on this 2005 Nissan Armada, were going to install part number 30955 from Hopkins. Now our Nissan here has part of a factory tow package. It has wires around at the back, but does not have the actual connector, so were going to use this part to finish up the connection, so we can plug in a trailer. All right, first off well go ahead and pull out the wire harness from the vehicle. Now normally this would have a cap, however on this particular vehicle it did not have the cap. Now well take our connector and plug it into it. Well also use some dielectric grease to help protect the leads as well.
