Today we are going to install part number PK11916 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this wiring part on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Basically, what this part does is it puts a 7-pole end on the back of your pickup, replacing the factory blank right here. Basically, what you are going to do is take this plate here and twist it sideways until a key comes out. And you pull out the blank and the wire harness right here. Undo the wire harness by just pushing down this pin right here, and it comes right apart.
And then, take your new part and just reverse the procedure. You simply put it back together, make sure it snaps into place and then just reinstall it. And it clicks right in position and you are instantly done. As you can see here, this actually replicates the actual factory wiring harness. And that finishes our install of part number 20047 from Tow Ready.
