Installation of a Wiring Harness on a 2006 Kia Sorento
Today we are going to install part number 118307 from Tow Ready, and we are going to install this T-1 connector on a 2006 Kia Sorento. We are also going to be using part number 118144, 4-pole bracket, as part of this install. First we will install our bracket, and we will just install a couple of simple screws that come with the package. And then we will install our T-1 connector 4-pole harness into that. All right, the Sorento already has a port installed from the factory, so it is a simple matter of plugging the T-1 harness into this port right here. So you push down this button on top, and then take a screwdriver to catch the edge of it. It helps kind of get it started where you can pull it out.
Pretty much from here it is a matter of preference where you are going to route the wire. But you can just go ahead and go behind the spare tire bracket and just plug it into place. Then all you have got to do is mount your box. Now back on top of here is actually a nice, flat area you can actually adhere it to. So let us clean that off and then use the adhesive backing to put it in place. Then you can route your harness around the back side of the hitch and into your bracket out front here. OK, then we will bundle up the rest of it right here. That covers it for part number 118307 from Tow Ready.
