Today on this 2003 Honda Pilot we are going to be installing part number, 118336 from Tow Ready. The first step is getting into the rear of the vehicle. First we are going to remove this cover here to get access to the threshold that we will have to remove to plug in our wiring harness. When we have our threshold available we will take a rivet tool and break loose the fasteners that are holding the threshold to the car. Go ahead and set your wiring harness here for now. :28
As you can see, there is a tow hook on the drivers side. If you look just in front of that, pull apart this plastic piece right here, you can actually see the connection point down in there. We are going to have to break this tie strap loose here and we will be able to pull our cable up and plug in our wiring harness. As you can see we have our plug in right here. Now that we have our cable out, we are going to plug in our wiring harness as so. :51
Now that we have our wiring harness plugged in we are going to go ahead and tuck our wire down in here and fold it back. We are going to take the converter box, with the double sided tape, and put it down here in this cubby hole. Then we are going to take our wire and run it back here. Now that we have our wiring harness plugged in we are going to put on our threshold piece as well as our cargo cover panel. Now that everything is put back together we are going to show you how to use your wiring harness. 1:26
Go ahead and lift up your storage compartment here. As you can see, we have the wire. You want to make sure when pulling it out, keep it away from the center to keep it from getting pinched. And then close your door and pull the length you need out to reach your trailer hitch. After everything is said and done you want to check the connections and wires to make sure that everything is plugged in correctly and that should complete your installation for part number 118336 from Tow Ready.

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2004 Honda Pilot

Today we are going to install part number 43105 from Hoppy, and we are going to install this on a 2004 Honda Pilot. A wiring connector is hidden behind this plastic piece right here in the threshold, so what we have got to do is get behind this, take it up, and then get between here and the bucket that is behind here, and that is where the connector lies. Pulling back the bucket here, you can see where our wiring connector is hidden. We will loosen that up and install our harness under that port.
Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Honda Pilot

Today we are going to show you part number 118336 from Tow Ready and we are going to install it on a 2007 Honda Pilot. To begin our install we have to gain access to the inside of the vehicle and take off the rear threshold. That port we need to get to is underneath the threshold. A little bit towards the center but closer to the driver side. Next this threshold panel needs to come off also. They actually come off pretty easy. On this tray here we push back a little bit and we can see the port right here. Once we have gone ahead and plugged it in we will stick our little converter box on right here. There is just enough room. We can stick it against the wall and keep it out of harms way. We can tuck these wires back in there. You can either run the wires back out through this hole or sometimes there is a crack in this little hole you can run it through also.
