Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118334 on a 2000 Dodge Durango. The attachment points for the wiring harness are going to be directly behind the taillight assemblies. So the first thing that we want to do is remove the taillights from both sides of the vehicle. To do so, we just have two Philip head screws on the end board side of each side. Remove those, pull our taillight assembly away and we will be able to see our connectors. OK, will the taillight assembly pulled away, you can see our connector here. What we want to do is go ahead and pull this clip back. And then press this button here and pull the two apart. Starting over here on the driver side, we are going to go ahead and plug our harness in line. We want to take the end with the yellow, red and brown wires in them and connect them here. And we just want to feed the 4-pole end and the other connector for the passenger end, with the green wire, we want to feed those down through the opening in between the bumper and the body here. And we are going to feed the converter box down through the opening as well. Let me go ahead and put our taillight assembly back on. 1:03
And then we just want to go underneath the vehicle. We are going to route our green wire over to the passenger side and we are also going to mount it to our converter box underneath the vehicle as well. We are underneath the driver side, where we just fed our wires through. I am actually going to clean off the back side of the bumper here and mount it there. And we are just going to go ahead and fed the connector behind the bumper here, all the way over to the opening on the passenger side and then run it up that way. The 4-pole, we are just going to go ahead and tie that off right here, at the hitch itself. And we are going to just finalize our connections here on the passenger side. Then we can put our taillight assembly back on. OK, with both connections made and our wires routed underneath, we just want to make sure that we secure any loose wires that might be near any pinch points or hot points, like the exhaust.
