Today we are going to review the Thule Boxter Premium Roof Rack cargo box part number TH611. The Boxter has a reenforced lid with a great looking high gloss two tone finish. The box is designed to fit Thule square load bars, round bars, and most OEM roof styled bars. The lid stiffeners and struts make opening and closing the lid easy. The Boxter is lightweight and has a very aerodynamic design that will help reduce wind noise and increase gas mileage. The integrated quick grip system allows you to easily attach the box to your crossbars without having to use any tools or u-bolts. The Boxter features a built in secure lock, one on either side of the box. The lock cylinders feature a safety mechanism that will only allow the key to be removed once the box it properly locked. To make sure the Boxter will fit your vehicle you should measure the spread of the crossbars. The Boxter requires a minimum of 20-5/8 inches to a maximum of 36-3/4 inches from the center of the front cross bar to the center of the rear cross bar. On the side of the box is where you are going to find your lock. Again, if the box is locked you can remove your key, but if it is unlocked you cannot pull the key out. To secure the box to the crossbars we are going to open it up and operate the clamps from inside the box. To adjust the clamps, take the turn knob and open it up. Lift the box above the crossbar and slide the clamp over the crossbar. Set it back down, and tighten the knob to close the clamp. Repeat the same process for the other clamps. 1:58
On the edge of the box, above the lock on either side is a handle which makes a convenient place for you to grab the box to open it. Inside the box, you will find the dual hinge that can be opened from either side. There is also a sturdy pull handle on either side, so you can get a good hold of the lid when you pull it down to close it. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Ford Escape
Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Thule MOAB Rooftop Cargo Carrier or also known as, The Mother of All Baskets, part number TH690. Now with our roof rack system already assembled onto the vehicle, well set our roof top basket onto the crossbars making sure that our brackets line up evenly with our crossbars. Now with the basket positioned onto the crossbars, well swing the brackets on the underneath side of the crossbars and tighten them down using the included wing nuts. We will repeat these steps for all the other brackets. Once the basket is tightened down and secured to the crossbars, were ready to load our cargo. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2009 Ford Escape
Today we have with us a 2009 For Escape and were going to be test fitting the Thule Moab Roof Mounted Cargo Basket part number TH690. Weve already got our cargo basket assembled and were ready to go ahead and mount it up on our vehicle. To do this well place the basket up on top of the factory crossbars. Well make sure that we have it placed evenly on the roof from left to right. Once we have done that well take the hardware and fit the clamps around our crossbars and well use the included wing nuts to tighten the clamps at all four locations. With all the clamps tightened down we can reinstall our covers and our basket is installed and ready to load up.
Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2011 Ford Escape
Today on our 2011 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. With our vehicle equipped with the factory roof rack system and our cargo basket preassembled, were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well need to simply set the cargo basket on top of the crossbars. Well center it from left to right with the vehicle. Well then secure it using the included hardware with the basket. With our basket secured, well go ahead and give you a height measurement added to the vehicle, and this basket will add approximately 10 inches to the overall height of the vehicle.
Rola Roof Cargo Basket Installation - 2011 Ford Escape
Today on our 2011 Ford Escape we'll be test fitting the Rola Roof Mounted Cargo Basket part number 59504. With our Escape already equipped with the factory roof rack system and the crossbar set at 30", we're now ready to go ahead and fit our basket to the vehicle. We need only to simply set the basket on top of the crossbars, we'll set the basket with the vehicle from left to right, we'll then clamp it down using the included hardware with the basket. With our cargo basket secured to the top of the vehicle, we'll go ahead and give you an overall height added to the vehicle and the cargo basket adds an additional 9" of height. And with our cargo basket secured to the vehicle, we're ready to go ahead and loaded up. Today we are going to show you the Thule Atlantis 1200 XT roof rack cargo box in black, part number TH685BXT. The Atlantis 1200 XT features 12 cubic feet of storage space.
