On the top of the ball, you will see three numbers stamped or engraved. At the bottom you will see the weight capacity which is 3,500 pounds. Right there in the center you will see a number 2, which indicates it is a 2 inch size ball. You can use this ball on ball mounts that a 3-quarter inch shank diameter like this one. If it is nice and snug inside the hole, then it does not have much movement. Then you place the lock washer over it and finally the nut. Then you can use a vice and a wrench to tighten this up.
