Ford F-150 Tire Chains

Review of the Glacier V-Trac Snow Tire Chains

Today we are going to install the Glacier V-Trac snow chains, part number PW2121V. We are going to lay out the tire chains. We will point out that we have this smooth side of the chain itself actually goes against the tire and this part faces the outside. Alright, we will go ahead and drape them over the tire. When you drape them over the tire, make sure that you have the cable with three stops pointing towards the outside. Try to get these junctions right here evenly tight. After your first time, you will probably have to look at the back side. Probably judge to make sure you have them even on both sides of the tire. We will grab the inside part of the chain and make the connection back there. 0:50

OK, now make sure that your chains are pulled over as far as you can. You may have to role the tire back and forth to make sure you catch everything. And then just pull it all together. And depending on the size of the tire, you can use any of these three. And if you have any leftover tail sticking out, you can use this plastic clip to hold everything together. Alright, take our tensioners and this is simply going to go in between the junction points. Alright, now the chain is properly tensioned and it is ready for service. Now you may want to go ahead and run it for a little bit and double check to make sure everything is ok. And there you have it for part number PW2121V.
