Alright, today on this 2012 Toyota 4 runner were going to do a test fit of part number Y02422 from Yakima; this is the Swingdaddy 4 Bicycle rack. One thing to know about this bicycle rack is that it is designed for 2-inch receiver hitches only. Now well start off our test fit by installing the bike rack into the hitch and then well tighten down anti-rattle bolt and then install the safety clip on the other side. With the bicycle rack installed, we can go ahead and get some clearance measurements. From bicycle rack to the bumper were looking at clearance of 7 inches. Ground clearance at the back will be 20 inches.
Alright, now well go ahead and check access to the trunk. The Swingdaddy will actually swing out to the side so that you can gain access to the rear cargo area. That looks good. Now lets go ahead and load up a bike. Now lets go ahead and unfold the bicycle rack so we can load up a bike.
Before we load up a bike, well go ahead and make sure that the straps are out of the way on the cradles were going to use and that the anti-sway part of the cradles are swung to the inside. It makes it a little easier to load up a bike. When we load up a bike, well balance it out on the cradles then well swing the anti-sway part of the cradle down to the seat tube and then well go ahead and strap that into place then well go on to the straps for the top tube. And thats all it takes to load up a bike. Now with the bike loaded up, we can actually get access to the back of the vehicle one more time so well go ahead and check that.
WIth that, that will finish it for our test fit of part number Y02422 from Yakima on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner.
