Today in our 2012 Subaru Impreza, well be test fitting the Yakama Rail grab roof rack system, part number Y00138 and Y00408. Now to begin our test fit well simply place the front crossbar over the top of the factory ray side rails. Will make sure that the clamping side rails. Well make sure that the clamping device on the backside of the tower reaches around the backside of the side rail. Well the need to take a measurement on both sides of our factory side rails. This will ensure that crossbar is in the same location on both side rails.
Now the bolt towers are on the side rails, well center our crossbar with the vehicle. We can then tighten down the silver Allen bolts on each tower. This will lock the tower to the crossbar. With that done well then tighten down the clack Allen bolts, which will secure the tower to the side rail. Now that our front crossbar is secured to the vehicle, well move to the rear crossbar.
Well repeat the same procedure installing it on the factory side rails although this time we do need to take a measurement from the cater of the front cross bar to the center of the rear crossbar. We are getting set our cross bars to 30 inches, crossbar spread. Now that our rear cross bar is installed that will complete the test fit of the Yakama rail grab roof rack system, part number Y00138 and Y00408 on our 2012 Subaru Impreza. .
