Today on this 2012 Kia Sorento were going to install a roof rack from Yakima. Well be using Yakimas Railgrab. Well go ahead and install the first crossrail towards the front. Well leave everything loose and well position it where we want it once we have it in place. Well measure out the first bar, and that way when we install our second bar we can measure off the first one and everything will be square. Take a second and make sure your bars are even, left to right.
Once we have the rails in the spot we want them well go ahead and tighten them down. First off well tighten the Railgrabs to the factory rails with the hardware thats colored black on the inside. Then well tighten down the crossbars themselves with the silver colored bolt. Our Yakima roof rack is installed, and Ill give you one more measurement that will give you an idea of how much this adds to the height of the vehicle. From the top front rail to the top of the roof rack is going to be two and a half inches.
With that, that will finish it for our quick test fit the Yakima Railgrab system on our 2012 Kia Sorento.
