Today on this 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor we are going to do a test fit of the Yakima roof rack system. We will be using the Yakima RailGrab towers and we will be using the 15 inch load bars. Alright we are going to start off with our crossbars already assembled according to the instructions. Now our vehicle has a factory roof rack system already installed so it is just a matter of attaching our Yakima roof rack system to the factory system. We will go ahead and start off and with our first crossbar going towards the front of the vehicle. We are going to put the crossbar square with the factory rails. We will measure off from one edge of the factory rails over to the leading edge of the tower. Now this measurement can vary depending on the accessories you are going to use from your roof rack.
Then we want to take a second and make sure that our bars are even from left to right. With our first crossbars in position we will go ahead and move on to the second one, and we will measure up our first crossbar so we will have the second one square with the first one. OK, with our cross rails in position it is a matter of tightening them down. Now if you will notice, on each of the cover there are two screws, there will be a silver screw and there will be a black screw. The silver screw tightens down the tower to the crossbar and the black screw tightens down the tower to the factory rails.
OK with those few steps our roof rack is already installed. Next well give you a measurement that will give you an idea of the height that was added to the vehicle. Well measure from the leading edge of the tower to the top of the crossbar. Our measurement will be actually 21/2 inches and with that, that will finish it for our test fit of the Yakima Roof Rack system on our 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor.
