Today we have a 2012 Toyota Camry and we are going to test fitting a Yakima roof rack system. We are going to be using Q clips part number y00605 as we as Q clips part number y00716. Well also be using the 48 inch crossbars part number y00408 and the Yakima roof tower part number y00124. We already have our roof rack assembled according to the instructions and now we are ready to fit it up on top of our vehicle. Well take the front crossbar and lay it on top of the roof. To position the front bar we need to measure eight inches from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of the Q towers.
Once we have the front bar in position we can go ahead and tighten it down and close the latches. Then well be ready to install our rear bar. To position our rear bar properly were going to measure from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar and set it at 31 inches. This is known as the crossbar spread and will come in handy when youre shopping for accessories. Once we have the rear bar in position we can go ahead and tighten it down and latch it down like we did in the front and that does it for our test fit of the Yakima roof rack system, on our 2012 Toyota Camry..
