Today we have a 2011 Ford Fiesta 5-door Hatch Back, well be test fitting a Yakima Roof Rack well be using the Q clips, part number Y00699, part number Y00716, the 48-inch load bars part number Y00408 as well as the Q Towers, Y00124. We already have our roof rack assembled according to the instructions and were ready to fit it to our vehicle. The first thing we need to do is open the front doors. Well set the front bar on top of the vehicle. To position the bar properly well need to measure 8-inches from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of the Q Tower. Once we have our front crossbar in position we can go ahead and tighten it and latch it down.
Then we can move on to installing the rear bar. To position the rear bar, well need to measure 32-inches from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar. This is known as our crossbar spread and this measurement will come in handy when selecting accessories to use with your new roof rack. Once we have the rear bar in position we can go ahead and tighten it and latch it down. With that our roof rack is installed and were ready to load up a new accessory.
Weve added 3-1/4-inches of overall height to our vehicle. That does it for the test fit of our Yakima Roof Rack on a 2011 Ford Fiesta 5-door Hatch Back.
