Alright on this 2010 Toyota Camry we're going to do a test fit of the Yakima Q Tower system with part numbers Y00124 Q5 and Q35. We'll start off with our crossbars already assembled according to the instructions and open the front doors. Now I can place the front crossbar on top of the vehicle. To place it properly, we will measure from the edge of the windshield to the leading edge of the tower. Now let's go by the manufacturer's instructions, in this case the measurement will be 9 inches. With the from bar in place we can move on to the rear.
To position this bar correctly we will measure from the center to center of the front and rear bars. This measurement needs to be 32 inches. With both bars in place we can begin to tightening down the Q clips. We will take up the slack first using the thumb screws and then clamp them down. This will take a few attempts to find the proper tension on both sides.
There is also a mark underneath the crossbar inside the tower that you want to line up on both sides. Now that both bars are in place and locked down, we will give you a measument to show you how much height has been added to the vehicle. Measuring from the front edge of the Q Tower to the very top of the bar, we have added about 5 and a half inches. With that, that will finish it for a test fit or Yakima Q Tower roof rack system on a 2010 Toyota Camry.
