Today, on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we will be test fitting the Yakima Highlite, part number Y02438. To begin our test fit, we will simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch using the included adapter for 2 inch hitches. We can then install the attached hitch pin. With the hitch pin in, we can go ahead and tighten down the anti-rattle knob here at the back of the shank that will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. We can now give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bottom of the bike rack is 9-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 2-1/2 inches.
We will now pull the pin at the bottom of the bike rack mast and tilt the mast down so we can now open our cargo door. And as you can see, we can gain full access to the cargo area with this bike rack. We will now pull the switch to the top of the bike rack mast to bring out the dual arms where we can undo the straps, exposing our cradles. We will then place our bike into the cradles and bring the straps around, securing our bike to the bike rack. And that's it, our bike is loaded and we are ready to go.
And that completes our test fit of the Yakima Highlite 2 bike carrier, part number Y02438 on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. .
Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan
Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH934XTR. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our hitch pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it down using a wrench. Next, we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. We've got about 9-1/2 inches of ground clearance and 5-1/2 inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Overall, we've added about 16 inches of length to the rear of our vehicle with the carrier's arms folded down.

We'll thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. Next, we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements. Overall, we've added about 21 inches of length to the rear of our vehicle.
