Review of the Yakima FlipSide 4 Hitch Bike Rack on a 2005 Toyota Sienna

Today on this 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan well go ahead and do a test fit of part number Y02426 from Yakima. This is a flipside four bike carrier. Lets start off by installing our rackinto a two inch receive r hitch. This rack will also fit an inch and a quarter receiver hitch, Class II only. It will work with a two inch receiver hitch with the bushing that we will be using today. Well slide it in and install the inaudible 0:00:23:5 and then well tighten it down, then well go ahead and put the safety pin in.

Now well take some measurements for clearance between the bumper and the bike rack, and the bike rack and the ground. At its closest point the bike rack is about two and a quarter inches away from the bumper. From the ground to the bottom of the bike rack will be eight and a quarter inches. The bicycle rack is in a stowed position. Lets go ahead and move it out of the way to check for access to the back of the vehicle.

Well pull out this pin and just push it ot the side. Y ou can got to either side with this. Now well put it back up and fold the amrs. Pull back on the arms and pull back ont eh trigger here on top, and then you can pull them up. Lets go ahead and load up the bike.

Well loosen up the straps first. As you can see the cradles will move back and forth on the arm to adjust as you need. When you engage the anti-sway it locks them in place. Now well put our bike on the rack and pull the anti-sway cradle and pull it down to the seat tube. Pull the strap around it and take one strap over top and down to the cradle.

With that, that will finish it for our test fit of the Yakima Flipside on our 2005 Toyota Sienna. .
