Today on this 2011 Chevrolet Aveo, were going to be test fitting the Yakima fairing part number y07048. This is a 48 inch fairing thats recommended for use on this vehicle. We already have our fairing assembly put together and now were going to mount it up on our vehicle. The fairing is going to attach to the round crossbars on the front of the vehicle. Well set the fairing up on top and position the wrap around clamps around our crossbar.Next well stand at the front of the vehicle and make sure we have our fairing centered from left to right. Once you have the fairing positioned you have the option of installing some clear film up on top of the vehicles roof, this will prevent any dirt that gets trapped underneath the foam from rubbing into the vehicles paint.
Weve opted not to do that on this particular vehicle. Now that we have the fairing where we want it, we can go ahead and begin attaching the hardware. Well drop our carriage bolt through the outer most attachment points and then well tighten it with a wing nut on the under side. With that the fairing is installed and were ready to hit the road.
