All right. Today on this 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, were going to install part number 118450 from Tow-Ready. Okay, our first step involved is open up the hatch and remove the taillights. After we remove the taillights, well go ahead and disconnect them from the wiring harness. Now we can go ahead and start installing the T1 harness. Well take the 4-pole harness and run it down between the body work and the bumper cover and out the bottom.
Well also do the same thing with the T-connector with the green wire. With the white wire, well leave that up by the taillight and plug that into the wiring harness and well also ground the white wire with the ring terminal to the body as well. Well take the 4-pole wire harness and the T-connector with the green wire and well pull it out the bottom of the vehicle. Then well go ahead and route the 4-pole harness over to the center of the hitch. Well also take the T-connector with the green wire and run that all the way across and up to the taillight on the other side.
Okay, when we run our wire to the passenger side, were going to use a piece of tubing or you can use a piece of wire to help it pull back up through. Okay. With our wires run up through both sides now, we can go ahead and reinstall the taillights. Now, well go back underneath to secure our wires. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Traverse
Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse were going to be installing the Tow-Ready T1 Connector part number 118450. To begin our installation, well first open up the rear access door and well need to remove the driver side taillight assembly. To do that, well take a small a flat bladed screw driver here and remove the fastener covers. Now we can go ahead and remove the two fasteners securing the taillight housing. As you remove the housing, be careful not to break the alignment tab. Now with the taillight assembly removed, we can see the alignment tab you need to be careful not to break off as we remove the assembly.
Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Traverse
Today on our 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, well be installing Tow-Ready T1 Connector part number 118450. Now to begin our install, well open up the cargo door, we can then remove the red plastic cover thats covering the bolt to remove the taillights. With our covers out of the way, well remove the two bolts and remove the taillight assemblies from the vehicle. Now here on the passenger side, weve ran a piece of air tube as a fish wire. Well use the air tube to connect the left side of our T1 connector, well tape it to the air tube and draw it back up through from underneath the vehicle to the driver side taillight opening. We can now make our connection here at the factory harness to the one side of our T1 connector.
Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Traverse
Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Traverse we are going to install part number 118450 from Tow Ready. This is their T-One wiring harness and the first steps involved is to open up the back hatch of the vehicle so we can get access to the tail lights themselves. To remove the tail lights we have got to remove these caps right here first off. There will be some bolts underneath to remove so we can take the tail light off.
