Today on this 2008 Pointiac Vibe we're going to install part no 118458 from Tow Ready. So first thing we're going to do is go over to the back hatch and get down to the spare tire area. And we will remove this tray as well. Now we're going to remove interior panels behind the tail lights it will one on each side. Now take a wire harness with the read and yellow wires. We will run that to this openning here end up back here.
And the wire connection is the actual connection that goes into the tail light. We will take the top connection off first, Now we will go to our connector with our red wire and the other half will go back into the tail light. Now we will go down to the next one, maybe this connection point in the center and repeat the same process. Take a white wire to the ring terminal and go grind that right to the body here. Now we'll take a T-connector with a green wire we will run it all the way across and repeat the same process.
Green wire with the return signal will go to teh 2nd circuit down. Right now we will take a second to secure a module. We will use the adhesive on here and we will clean off the panel underneath the plastic that was attached to that. At this point we can go ahead and secure the wires, we can get some extra long zip ties and run it through the holes in the body work. Alright now with all our wiring in we can go ahead and reinstall our panel, we will reinstall our tray we will make sure the wire stays out of the way.
When we're not using the wire harness it will stay right here. And when we do need to use, we just pull it out, we run down to our hitch and go and shut the door it. Just make sure you stay away from the center lurch so it won't get pinched. And with that that will finish it for part no. 118458 from Tow Ready on a 2008 Pointiac Vibe..
