Today on our 2007 Scion TC, well be installing the Tow Ready T-One Connector, part number 118484. After opening our rear deck lid, well need to remove the rear cargo area by removing all the floor coverings, the cargo trays, the plastic threshold cover, and the access panel. Well need to be careful not to damage any of the clips or screws. We can then route the T-connector up to our tail light. We can then locate the vehicle harness where our T-connector will attach. Well separate the vehicles wiring connector, being careful not to break the locking tabs.
Beginning here on the drivers side, well plug the T-connector harness containing the yellow wire in between the vehicles mating connectors. Well remove this 10 mm nut here that holds the tail light on, put the Y-wire ringed eyelet over the bolt, and reinstall the nut. This will serve as our ground. We can then route the T-connector containing the green wire below the plastic threshold, running along the factory wiring harness. Here at the passenger side, well run it behind the carpet and up to our passenger side tail light.
Again, well remove the connector from our factory harness and install our T-connector into the mating connectors. We can then attach our wiring harness with the green wire in it to he factory wiring harness using some zip ties. Were now ready to mount our ModuLite box. After finding a suitable location, well adhere it to the body of the vehicle. With that done, were ready to reinstall the interior of our vehicle, making sure that our four-pole harness stays accessible in the drivers side cargo trays.
With our interior back together, thatll complete our install of the Tow Ready T-One Connector, part number 118484, on our 2007 Scion TC.
