Today on our 2007 Pontiac G6 well be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector part number 118439. First, well need to access the rear cargo area. Well go ahead and open up the trunk and remove the cargo hooks here behind the drivers side taillight assembly. Then well go ahead and pull the carpeting back exposing the two 10-mm nuts that will need to be removed holding the taillight assembly in place. Now with those removed, we can go ahead and simply pop the taillight assembly free from its position and then remove the wiring connector going into the back of it. Next, well go ahead and repeat the same process on the passengers side.
Now with both taillight assemblies out of the way we can go ahead and start making our wiring connections. Well first take the yellow and brown wire connector and plug it in line with the manufacturers wiring here on the drivers side. Next, well go ahead and take our 4-pole connector, feed it down between the bumper cover, the bumper structure and the body of the vehicle towards the center of the hitch. Next, Im going to go ahead and take a piece of air line or a pull wire, attach the white and green wire connector and pull it over to the passengers side feeding it behind the bumper cover. Now we can go ahead and pull it up behind the passengers side.
Well remove the pull wire and make a connection here with the manufacturers wiring on the passengers side. Next, well go ahead and take the white wire with the pre-attached ring terminal and secure it to the body of the vehicle. This will be our ground wire for our 4-pole connector. Using the self-tapping screw provided with our install kit, well go ahead and attach it here where the sheet metal doubles up giving it a firmer, more secure connection. Now with that done Im going to go ahead and take one of the black zip ties provided with my install kit and secure the excess wiring here on the drivers side by attaching it to the manufacturers wiring.
Then to clean up my install look well go ahead and excess from the zip tie, make the connection with the back of the taillight assembly and reinstall it. Now with the passengers side done Ill move over to the drivers side and repeat the same process. Well secure the wiring, reinstall it into the taillight assembly and then reinstall the taillight assembly. Now with that completed it will complete the install of our Tow Ready T1 Connector part number 118439 on our 2007 Pontiac G6.

Today on this 2008 Pontiac G6, were going to install part number 118439 from Tow Ready. All right to start off our install, we need to get inside a trunk area and remove the carpeting by the taillights. Once we get access to this taillight, we can go ahead and move the hardware forward taillights and then we can completely remove the taillights. Once we have our driver side taillight loose, well pull up on the tab located here so we can separate the electrical connector and then we can go ahead and remove the taillight. Were done with the driver side; lets repeat the same process over on the passenger side. Well go ahead and take our four pole wire and run down between the bumper cover and the body.
