Today on this 2001 Pontiac Montana, we're going to install part number 118355 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do is pop up the back hatch, and remove the threshold at the bottom. Then we need to get the access behind the interior panel on the driver's side. Okay now, this is the location of the connection point right here. Now depending on the vehicle, some models have an open port that our T-connector will plug into, just one side and that's it. However, in this model the port is connected together, so disconnect it and install our T-connector.
Now this one is actually fairly easy to see. If you don't see it at the back, look towards the bottom inside the corner. It is very hard to see, but it is stuffed in there at times, depending on the model and the configuration of the interior. Okay, with our connection point made, we'll go ahead and hide the converter box on the inside and the sheet metal on the corner. Then we'll go ahead and take the white wire.
Then we'll ground that to the sheet metal, underneath the threshold. Okay, with those steps done, we can go ahead and reinstall the interior components. Now our wires will stay on the inside the vehicle when it is not being used, and when we do need to use it, simply pull it out, and shut the hatch on it. The weather seal will be thick enough so it won't hurt anything, just make sure you will stay away from the latch. That does it for part number 118355 from Tow Ready, on our 2001 Pontiac Montana..

Today in our 2006 Pontiac Montana, were going to install the toe ready T1 connector part number 118396. First well access the rear cargo area then were going to remove the two torch fit screws holding on the tail light for each sides, after we remove the hardware, well gently pull the tail light and assembly away from the body of the vehicle. As you can see this will allow us access to the tail light wiring harness. The tail like wiring connector will match the new T1 connector so well simply disconnect the manufactures wiring and plug the new T1 connector in line with the manufacturers. Once we get them snap into place, were going to go ahead and take the rest of our remaining wire and fit it down between the bumper cover and the sheet metal of the vehicle. Once we get all our wires fit underneath, just simply go ahead and reinstall the driver side tail light assembly.

Today on this 2006 Pontiac Montana we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118396. We are at the rear of the vehicle, with the cargo door open, and we want to go ahead and locate the port that our wiring harness is going to be plugging into. The ports are located directly behind the taillight on both the driver and passenger side. So the first thing that we want to go ahead and do is remove both taillight assemblies. Holding the taillight in place on the inboard side are two torque headed bolts. We need to go ahead and take those out. 0:38
