Today in our 2012 Nissan Frontier, we'll be installing the draw tight hitch part number 75282. This is what our hitch will look like once it's installed. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch, pin hole to the out most edge of the bumper is 3-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver, tube to the ground is 17-1/2 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier.
Now lets go ahead with the installation. We have a total of six attachment points. There will be weld nuts in the frame, three on the drivers side and three on the passengers side. Before we put our hitch in place will want to go ahead and clean out the weld nuts because over time theyll build up with rust, dirt and debris. To clean out the weld nuts, well be using a half inch nylon tooth brush, part number 814092 and spray lubricant.
Well go ahead and start with the rear most fasteners on the drivers side. Now once we have it cleaned out well go ahead and take one of a new bolt and thread it in just to make sure its going to go nice and easily. Now with that done well go ahead and repeat the same process with the other five attachment points. Each process we do hear on the drivers side is going to get repeated identically on the passengers side. Now with all six attachment points cleaned out we are ready to go ahead and put our hitch in place.
Well be using the new ten millimeter bolt, lock washer and flat washer. Now we are ready to put our hitch in place. Its good idea to get an extra set of hands to help you hold the hitch while you install your fasteners. Now with all our fasteners in place well go ahead and tighten them down. We once have all the fasteners tightened down we can go ahead and torque the specifications as indicated in the instructions.
With all of our fasteners torque to specifications, this is going to complete the install of our draw tight hitch part number 75282.
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Nissan Frontier - Hidden Hitch

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 3-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15-1/2 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a drawbar, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier.

Today we will be working on a 2007 Nissan Frontier. We will be installing Draw-Tite part number 75282, which is also comparable to Hidden Hitch part number 87539. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you with ing accessories for your new hitch such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to your outermost point of your bumper is 3-1/2 inches. And from the top of your receiver tube to the ground is 16 inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Nissan Frontier
Today on this 2010 Nissan Frontier we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 13241. Okay, we are taking a look at the driver side frame rail here nearest the bumper. And we want to go ahead and point out the mounting holes for the trailer hitch. You can see we have three existing weld nuts here at the bottom of the frame. And we are going to be using those for our attaching points for our trailer hitch. And that is going to be the same on the passenger side as well. Into those weld nuts, we are going to be using the 12 millimeter bolts along with the conical tooth washers which are provided with the installation kit. And with that, we can pretty much go ahead and put the hitch up into position. However, if you notice that you have some road grime or corrosion built up in your weld nuts, you want to go ahead and thoroughly clean those out first. This is likely the case if you have a vehicle that has seen at least one winter. 0:43
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Nissan Frontier
Today we are going to be installing part number 87539 from Hidden Hitch on a 2007 Nissan Frontier pickup. OK we are underneath the vehicle now. And, looking at the drivers side frame rail, you can see the three attaching points at the bottom of the frame. These are weld nuts, but we are just going to be taking the bolts that were provided with the installation kit and throwing them up into there. A lot of times you will have some corrosion built up in these nuts. What I have already done is sprayed some spray lubricant like WD-40 up into there and cleaned them out really well so that the bolts can thread in there more easily. And once we have got the bolts cleaned out we can go ahead and put the hitch up into place.
