Today on this 2012 Hyundai Elantra were gonna install part number 60281. Alright, this is what the hitch looks like when its installed in the vehicle. Next well give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the receiver opening to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 4 inches and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 11 1/8 inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Ok, to begin our install, well take a look at the frame.
Now youll notice on this vehicle theres a small hole right here and a larger one right here with the rubber plug in it. Now, this vehicle is a version that does not have to be drilled. If it did need to be drilled, then this existing hole wouldnt be here. All we got to do is remove the rubber plug and were gonna do the same thing on the driver side and on the passenger side. Now we can go ahead and install our hardware.
Our hardware is gonna be this block right here with the notches and a carriage bolt. And were gonna attach it to a bolt leader on the outside coz were gonna install our hardware using the same hole were gonna use as the attachment point. Well install our bolt first, slide the block in, pull it back through and were done. Well go ahead and do the same thing over at the passenger side. Alright, now well go and move on to the tow hook here as an attachment point as well.
And it gets this large block and a -inch carriage bolt. Now we can go ahead and install our hitch. Well go ahead and install our hitch. Well take one half over the tailpipe and put the other side up and install our conical tooth washer and nut. Were done on the driver side, lets go over to the passenger side and repeat the same process.
And well also align our tie-down bolt as well. Well install our conical tooth washer and make sure the teeth are pointing towards the hitch. Alright, now go ahead and tighten our bolts down hand tight and then well go ahead and torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. And with that, thatll finish it for our install of part number 60281 from Hidden Hitch on our 2012 Hyundai Elantra. .

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Hyundai Elantra
Today we are going to install part number 24703 from Draw-Tite, and we are going to install this hitch on a 2006 Hyundai Elantra. All right, looking on the bottom of the vehicle, looking up on the passengers side, you will see the bolt that is in the frame the hitch will attach at that point right there. This hitch does not come with new bolts to replace the existing factory bolts. It will be just like that on the passengers side and on the drivers side. We are also going to use the center tow loop on the trunk pan here, too. We will use that for an attachment point.
